MK Rides cut short?

Another thing about Cindy's Carousel, and really all of the rotating rides, is that it typically takes longer to load/unload than the runtime of the ride itself...shortening the runtime doesn't buy a whole lot of time.

The load/unload time can substantially reduced if they hack-off enough
guests by only offering 3 revolutions per ride.

Yes, I'll give you that one. Then they'll all need Fastpasses to Stitch... :)

I hate getting burned on short rides! I could see if the parks are beyond full but it's supposed to be slow when we go. At least we won't have to stand in line long to get right back on1 :rotfl:

Next thing you know Disney will apply the same tactic at resorts: Short Sheets!

I just started a thread about this before I saw this one. Last week Jungle Cruise, the mexico ride and safari in AK were going really fast. At the end of the rides there were many boats/cars jammed up b/c there were so many people trying to get off. My kids noticed it before I said anything. I think they want to get as many people through as possible.

Ha! I was just going to mention how I read another thread on this same topic!!! It must have been yours!!!! :goodvibes

It's absolutely true! Everytime I go to Disney the ENTIRE week seems to speed by. I wonder how Disney controls that. Hmmm....

3 or 4 revolutions from start up to full stop, or did it get up to speed first and then go 3 or 4 times around and then slow down?

A TOTAL of 3-4 revolutions. I don't think it ever hit full speed. I would have said something but the kids jumped off the horses and moved on like they hadn't noticed... and who was I to question that.

Rode Cindy's carousel this afternoon. We went around 3 1/2 times...I couldn't not count after reading this thread last night! It didn't seem all that short to me, but then again, I was making myself dizzy trying to locate my starting marker and was ready to get off when it stopped, lol!

3 revolutions of Cindy's Carousel would be, what, 30 seconds? I seriously doubt that was true but an exaggeration based on perception. It could have been shorter than typical, but there is NO WAY it was only 3 revolutions.

we were in mk on dec 19. me and my 2 daughters rode the carousel for a grand total of 3 revolutions and i may be able to post the video to prove it.

Looks like I really should time a revolution on Cindy's next time I'm there...I never noticed it being so short...
