MK Retreat-What Time?

I happened to be sitting near Tony's on the porch in a rocking chair one day during a past visit and witnessed the playing of the National Anthem and taking down the flag. What a moving experience that was. I wanted to be certain to see it again on our trip in December. What time do they do Retreat at MK?

This is a must do for us every trip. However, a few years ago, the flag retreat ceremony included a dove release and an appearance by the Main Street Marching Band. They really scaled it back since then.

My family and I were there on 7/14 and I was chosen as the Veteran of the day and was part of the retreat. There were no doves but the band was there and it ws great. I was so proud represent my fellow veterans.

a few years ago, the flag retreat ceremony included a dove release and an appearance by the Main Street Marching Band. They really scaled it back since then.

Some time ago I saw a story on the news about WDW's problem with red hawks that had adapted to catching the doves that were released at MK castle front shows and during the flag retreat. So, by emininating the timed releases, some doves can live to fly another day.
