We have stayed at Epcot and AK areas but never stayed at MK area. I have Poly contract and never went. We would like to try either Floridian, Bay Tower or Poly. There are two families each with 2 children. So I figured someone will need to stay in the living room (assuming we don’t do studio). I know Poly is all studios. Between BTV and Floridian, which two bedroom has better layout to give living room guests access to bathroom without walking into someone’s bedroom? Also which resort has better pool for 10-14 year olds? Thx!

What is nice at BLT is that you can also walk over to CR and use theirs.

The bullseye pool at Cr is out by the water and deep in the center. IMO one of my fav pools with great views of bay lake.

As another poster mentioned, there are two full bathrooms in a BLT one bedroom villa. For me, that would be the deciding factor if I were to stay in a 1BR with another couple.

That said, I do love the 1BR at Grand Floridian. The GF is probably my favorite resort, overall. In those 1BR villas, there is an entry to the bathroom directly from the living room, so your guests would not need to walk through your bedroom to use that bathroom. But... you would still be sharing a bathroom and I have to refer back to my original sentence. :-)

I'm assuming you aren't cooking and are willing to use the laundry room.

Two studios at Poly is a nice solution, because each family has their space. Poly is recently renovated, the new double Murphy is AWESOME, and I think lake view is one of the nicest rooms on property. Right by TTC, hard to argue with that for transportation. The DVC buildings are so close that even if you aren't near each other, you can't be too far.

The next solution I'd offer is the BLT 2BR lockoff. The 1BR has two bathrooms, so that's three total bathrooms. The lockoff gives more privacy, but one family is still crammed in a studio.

BLT pool is sad. Poly is the hands down pool winner on the monorail. VGF maybe for little kids.

The room I just booked for a similar configuration is a VGF dedicated 2BR, because I'm not in pool weather and wanted to splash out some points.

I hear a lot about GF being the greatest. Could you please elaborate why you love the villas at GF? thx!!

The rooms are absolutely stunning - the fit and finish are just above and beyond anything I've seen at any of the other resorts/villas (and I've stayed at most). Just very high-quality design and furnishings. It's quiet, the views are lovely, the CMs go above and beyond to help guests, we had daily housekeeping in October and it is so well situated as it's a very quick walk to both the main building at GF and the Poly. I also loved that we could walk to MK, take the monorail or take the boat (GF is the first boat stop from MK, making getting back from MK super easy). All of the amenities - pools, restaurants, monorail, gift shops - are also very easy to access. I just think in terms of room quality, service, plus convenience of location, it really can't be beat by any other resort on WDW property.

I agree with previous poster. VGF hands down. Most beautiful resort on property IMO. We love the location, dining options, and pool area. The pool slide is nice as well as the nicer amenities in the pool area such as the padded loungers and full locker rooms with showers. Second choice would be the Polynesian. I do like that resort and the pool area. My hesitancy with the Polynesian has always been that the points are similar to the Grand Floridian and I would choose Grand Floridian every time. BLT is not my cup of tea. The pool is definitely lacking. Studios are super small with tiny TVs and that’s what we tend to book.

Late reply - we stayed in 1 br villas in both BLT and VGF last year. Echoing that I agree VGF and GF offerings are nicer, espscially pools. BLT was great, but oh, that VGF shower!!!! That said, I did want to point out that if you can get a dedicated 2 BR villa at BLT, that room has 3 full bathrooms. And no one has to stay in a BLT studio. That is definitely a big advantage to consider with 2 families.

i remember when the “bullseye pool” was adult only! Sigh....
