When I just went to buy it I was charged $6.98 for shipping. I thought shipping was free. Am I doing something wrong?

I waited too long, now it's out of stock.... does anyone know if they have these at the toys r us stores for the same price?
I see the complementary small world and carosel are 9.98, so maybe the MK would be that too? That would be fine. I just was wondering. Thanks.
