MK Photo Session

Ok, I'm not hmgolden but i can answer your questions.

The photo session lasted about an hour, give or take. Maybe 1 1/2 hrs from hotel to hotel.

You get pictures in front of the castle (from whatever angles), inside the castle, inside the waiting room for CRT, on the balcony outside the castle, in the area behind the castle, and on the carousel. My understanding is that to have them almost anywhere else you had to pay. we wanted pictures on Dumbo, and they told us that would be an extra $2,000 or so (we didn't do it).

It was me, my husband and the photographer. Also, there were tons of maintenance workers tidying up the MK overnight, but they weren't with us:D

The photographer drove us up to the castle, and then drove us behid the castle for the pictures back there.

My dress didn't get dirty at all as far as i could tell. It was just spread out on the cement for the pictures.

I did not re-steam my dress, and it was fine. It would probably depend on the material.

Any other questions, I would be glad to help. Feel free to ask, I did it just over a yr ago, and loved it.

Very nice hmgolden!!! Now I have questions . . . :) How long did your photo session last? Did you have to pay extra to have the pics inside the castle? Was it just you and your DH and the photographer or was there other people there? Did you have to walk down mainstreet or did you ride something to get you to the castle (cart or something)? Could you have taken pictures also on Mainstreet? Did your dress get REALLY dirty? AND last but not least! Did you have someone steam your dress the morning of or was it still okay from the wedding? Okay I think I've asked enough :)

The session lasted about an hour.

No, the pictures in the castle are included in the price of the package.

It was me, my DH, the photographer, and all the various people needed to get MK ready for opening. It was actually rather busy the morning we were there.

You get picked up at your hotel in a van. You are taken in a back entrance to the park, and drive through towmorrow land, and park in front of the castle, to the side of where the mickey and Walt statue is.

Sometimes you can take photographs on main street. I had wanted too, but with all that was going on the morning that we were there, it wasn't possible. When you book your session, let them know what locations you are most interested in (you generally get 3 locations (ex. in front of the castle, inside the castle, the carousel/outside of the castle in the back) and also discuss with your photographer the morning of. A lot will depend on whats going on in the park the morning of your shoot.

I dont think my dress got really dirty. No more so then during the wedding and reception. But my DH and the photographer were really good about helping me with my train.

I didn't have anyone steam my dress before the shoot. It still looked ok from the wedding. (and considering my dress had goen through quite the rainstorm the night of the wedding, I was impressed with how nice it still looked!)

HTH.

HMGolden - you're pictures are beautiful!! I especially love the one you have as your avatar!

Thanks everyone for all the great info. I called my SM with some questions, and inquired about this. She referred me to Stephanie at Disney Photography. So I sent her an email and I'm just waiting. I really want to book it, because I'm not sure if I'm just being paranoid, but since only one couple per day is allowed to do this, I really want to make sure I get the day we want.
