Can someone help? I really love the sound of the MK photo sessions!!!Could someone please post some pictures/experiances and let me know if you think they are worth the money. Also from what I have read you have to have them done v.early in the morning - does this has to be done on the day of your wedding?:cloud9:

I don't have any pics to share just yet. Give me about 5 months. ;) I just wanted to say that you have up to 1 year after your wedding to have the MK photoshoot. I personally will have mine 2 days after the wedding.

Just out of curiosity, if you have up to 1 year then would they allow you to take the pictures at the end of your trip in regular clothes, or do you have to be in wedding attire???

I can't imagine doing this way but interested if they would allow it...

If you want pictures in your regular clothes, you can have an MK Honeymoon Portrait session for less than 1/3 the cost of the MK Bridal Portrait session.... But maybe you're asking if you're still allowed to wear your dress for the shoot if you postpone it for a year? The answer is yes!

OP, if you're looking for reviews, there have been a couple threads full of 'em lately - if you do a search on MK shoot you'll get a ton of helpful results!

Now my question is...will it count toward your minimums if you don't do it the day of your wedding?

we had to get up at 4am! Or I did rather, because I had to have Lisa come do my hair and makeup all over again! Andy pulled the sheets up over his head. I think my hair looked better on my wedding day though -- oh well! Luckily I had my gown steamed AFTER the wedding (not before) so it looked not bad in the photos actually. And they gave me back my bouquet which still looked fine. i guess they keep it in cold storage for you if you are having the MK photo shoot. it was so wierd and cool to be in disney before it opened. i thought it would be empty except for us but it wasn't... there were TRUCKS and construction guys all up and down main street! last minute preparations i guess. We had to RACE to get out of the park before it opened. You hear this announcement over the PA system warning everyone to clear out. It was surreal. THE PHOTO SESSION IS WORTH THE $800 IN MY PERSONAL OPINION!!! we have TONS of photos, but here's just a couple I grabbed to give you a feel for it...

I have a question, do they give you a copy of the photos taken on a CD or do you have to pay extra for those?

Because I was UK bride, they rushed through the cd and photos and gave them to me two days after the wedding. Apparently they don't normally do this for the US brides and that publish them on a website and charge extra for the cd.

good morning. i am sitting here looking at the beautiful pictures and my son comes up and says, "who is that?" i say "i don't know!" he says "mom that's cinderella and prince charming, how could you not know that!!!"
it was too funny!!! beauiful pic by the way. congratulations!!!

How cute!! Seeing these pics, I am definitely on board with an MK photo shoot. I'm a little upset that I'll have to get everything redone (hair, dress steamed, flowers, etc) I was planning on doing it the morning after the wedding day...but that might be a little too ambitious considering how short our wedding night will have to be if we have to get up that early!

A lot of girls say you don't really need to have your makeup professionally done for the MK shoot 'cuz they don't take very many (or any!) closeup shots! You could save a few $$ by doing it yourself :thumbsup2

We're doing the MK photoshoot the morning of our wedding. Seeing all your beautiful pictures has me super excited for it. I figure I probably won't be able to sleep that well the night before my wedding anyway so it shouldn't be too big of a deal to be up at 4 for hair and makeup.

I don't know when your wedding is planned for, but we are getting married at 10 am and doing a lunch reception afterwards. This makes it seem not as bad to be up that early gettign ready.
