MK Parade....

I will NEVER view it again from Main Street for taking photos. DD and I entered MK just as the front of the parade got to the Emporium. We were headed to the train to go to Toontown, so up the stairs we went. There were still some decent standing viewing/picture taking spots if you positioned yourself correctly.... I can't belive what a great way to take pics that is - you are almost eye level with the floats, and it gives a much better perspective of the characters on the street too!

I'm downloading pics now... I will post some later!

Any one else have this as their favorite spot. (I knew this was prime for photo taking -but I guess I never realzed how PRIME!)

Here are some of the photos I shot from the train station. We jumped on the train before the parade ended, so I did not get it all!

We will be heading back to MK this morning. I left DDs bag of trading pins in the front of the monorail, and we are hoping that the driver may have found it and turned it into the main Lost & Found at the Kennel. Needless to say, I was in the "dog house" with Tara. It cost me a big Cinderella Castle playset and a new Ninetindogs DS game so far... not to mention lots of bidding on EBAy last night... I don't have a great feeling that we will find them, as we checked back at both ends of the monorail route yesterday, only about 1 1/2 hrs after I left them behind.

I think I will try and Photoshop out the bike tire. I cropped out other things i did not want... I don't Photoshop much, so this will be good to practice.

We got the castle in the shop in the Contemporary - we had lunch at CM yesterday. It was $65.00 - not inexpensive by any means, but it comes with lots of "stuff". It has lights and sounds, and made her very happy.... she did not mention the pins that I lost once she got it home and unpacked!!!! (Bad bad mommy!)

Fabulous parade pictures, Martha! I won't be showing my dds that castle. Our basement already looks like a Polly Pocket factory exploded in it.

Sure rub it in.... I had dreams of shooting parades and fireworks from new angles and finaly with a tripod. Maybe next time.

One thing we did do last march. After trying to MK during the parade, cutting through the shops we ended up in fron tof the barbershop where I marcie took about a hundred jpegs in burst mode. SHe was loving it. Then the last float in parade came by and we jumped in behind and wlaked with the parde for a while. We were the only ones for a a moment. I was embarrassed, Marcie was "on stage"!
