MK or Epcot Sat evening? Need help fast, leaving this afternoon

We (adult DD and 1.5 yo DGS) are leaving this afternoon for WDW. We will tour MGM on Saturday morning and were thinking of doing MK on Saturday evening then returning again to MK on Sunday morning. Now Im thinking that with Spectro at MK on Saturday night maybe we would be better off going to Epcot on Sat. night. We will only be at WDW 2 full days (Sat and Sun), we weren't even going to do Epcot this trip but maybe it would be the better choice for Sat night? Need opinions quickly, leaving for airport at 2 PM. Many thanks for all the planning help, this was a very last minute, spur of the moment trip this time. Karen

I love Spectromagic and I suspect your toddler would as well. It would be no choice for me, but your personal preference is really the key.

I agree Spectromagic is wonderful but beware that Saturdays can get crazy at MK. But if you haven't seen it, you can't miss it!

Thanks swilshire, but Spectro really isn't in our plans this time around. We have an early ADR at CP for Sunday morning so plan on being in one of the parks (Epcot or MK) from approx 6PM till about 8:30 PM, then back to GF for a good nights sleep. Just wondering about comparrison of crowd levels. Do you think Epcot will be significantly less crowded than MK d/t Spectro at MK, or do you think there wont be much difference? I cant believe Im still planning for a short weekend trip up until the very last minute . Karen

If you are going to the MK for rides and attractions I would say you would be better off at EPCOT....crowds in Future World will me MUCH less in the evenings as everyone shifts back to WS....plus crowds are pretty low right now anyways and I am thinking gas issues, etc may keep the crowds down a little this weekend anyways (but maybe not)

Personally I would rather have dental work than fight the crowds in the MK on a Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend....I think it will be mobbed. If you were dying to see Spectro I would say go for it, just go early....if you are going for other purposes I would say avoid the MK at all costs!!

We were at MK for Spectromagic last Saturday and the crowds were less than earlier that week when we saw the fireworks show.

My family and I left last night from Disney World to home.
The crowds were growing as the day went on. With the Disney Plan special they ran, it seems a lot of people are taking advantage of it and locals are off for the weekend too.

They are only showing SpectroMagic Friday and Saturday.
