I apologize if this has been asked before, but which would park would you do? My 9 yo likes either. We're only doing 1 park since we're doing the 3 night cruise after the 4 days at WDW. She's also entered that "terrible two" stage of pitching fits (yeppee :sad2: ). This was our original plan: go to AK because it's more open, there's animals, and some rides, and shows she can see. She can walk some (not a fan of the stroller right now) and older DD loves animals too. We can go to all the parks in February when she's like 4 or 5 and not wait in many lines and she can appreciate it more.

BUT, I just get this feeling of we're going to WDW we HAVE to go to the MK. We did Epcot and MGM last year and she's more into things now..so I am getting pulled in that direction. What do you think?

When we went in December my DD had turned 2 in September. My suggestion for a park would actually be MGM. Lots of characters, not as crowded as MK and lots to see and do. Just bring a leash (the chest kind not the wrist kind) and let her walk. Also if she is walking around, make sure to attach to her somehow your name, where you're staying and a cell phone # just incase she gets lost.
Have a Magical time! :wizard:

we did mgm last year. she LOVED playhouse disney (she's an avid watcher). the name, resort, phone tag is a great idea! I would die if she got lost though. She's just going to have to sit in the stroller and like it! we'll let her walk in areas not crowded or off the main walkways.

I would have to agree on MK. Animal Kingdom gets extremely hot and your little one might tire out sooner there. That's not to say that the MK is not hot, just not as bad as AK.

I would ABSOLUTELy go to MK!!

AK is such as waste of $ in IMHO!! DOn't get me wrong there are some AWESOME shows & some FUN things there but it's not a full day park & personally I don't think it's worth the $50 + (YET!) When they add more to it one day then I'll go back (or if I have hopper passes)....it's neat, wonderful.love the Kali Rapids :mickeybar but it's just not a good park for 2 yo.

W'll be taking dd2 in 2 weeks.and needless to say we're skiipin AK. She also likes to be independent & walk everywhere but she will ride in the stoller if I make her (with bribery of course! ---FOOD!)
ALSO I've found that I can go into the Hall of Presidents in the AC & hold her for her to take a nap---did this with dd#1 when she was 3...it makes life a WHOLE lot better to keep the schedule & as long as I hold her she'll nap.

YOu didn't mention when you were going...the heat would be a factor to me as well.. my mil didn't like AK 'cause it's spread out---even though it's a small park overall you had to walk a ton (she was obese then & needed to rest A LOT) she did better at MK 'cause everything was much closer....

DOES that make sense??

I hope I didn't sound rude or anything...don't mean to be.. :bounce:

MK without question.

You have an entire section devoted to small children - Toon Town. Also, FantasyLand has several rides gered to her age; Tea Cups, Caurosel, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Aeriel's Grotto. Much more to see like the Castle and the glamour of Future World (Transit Authority is a nice break), and far more character sightings.

Lots of shows too.

Okay, I will pipe in and say that AK or MK are both great choices! My 2 year old loves AK. The Safari is her favorite attraction. She absolutely loves animals and really enjoys the trails at AK. Now she also loves MK. The minute she sees the castle her face lights up! I think this all depends on your child. If you have gone before and are going again soon, then don't worry. Just pick one and save the other till next time!
