MK Opening Routine on Early Magic Mornings?

Does the opening routine change on these days? We plan to rope drop this Sunday morning, which has early morning magic going on. Will they still let us on Main Street before 9 A.M. and line up on the hub close to the land we're going to first?

You will be let onto Main Street- they have cast members with iPad scanners and the EMM people will have wrist bands. They do the opening show and then cast members will walk you into Tomorrowland/Frontierland like any other day. We saw the droves coming as we were leaving FL after our EMM.

I haven't been to EMM since they started doing the show up by the castle so I'm curious about procedures as well. Headed to EMM in November. What time is the opening show at castle on a 9 am opening day? More importantly, what time do they let the ropedrop people go? Trying to plan my ropedrop from within Fantasyland after we do EMM. Some say it's hit or miss whether the EMM crowd is ahead or behind the ropedrop crowd.

The MK morning routine is no different on an Early Morning Magic morning than any 9am opening day.

EMM and PPO ADR guests are let in approximately 7:45am.

Regular park guests will be let in sometime approx 7:45am-8am. I have seen both sets of folks let in at the same time and I’ve seen regular park guests held just a touch.

Regular park guests are free to roam Main Street up to the castle. Many shops are open, Starbucks is open. Often Main Street vehicles are running so it can be a good time to ride one with minimal wait.

The opening show at the castle will be approx 8:55am, after which they “drop the ropes” at the various castle hub spokes and the park is open. A large portion of that regular rope drop crowd is often heading directly to 7DMT.

Note, exact opening procedures can vary on any given day at the MK (or any park for that matter) so all times are approx.
