MK open until 2am...what's it like?

Thinking back, my first trip to the World was in 1976..with so many more from then on, to just this last October, and I don't think I've ever been in later than 10pm-11pm..I can't wait to be on Main Street looking at the castle at 2am!!!!! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

(note to self do not book an early morning flight home Sunday) :rotfl:

My husband is a morning person, so I usually start our vacation doing EMH at Magic Kingdom until the wee hours of the morning while he stays in the room with the kiddos. It lets me get in all my favorites, which makes the rest of the touring week much less stressed. I love them! :cool1:

The only thing better than MK till 2 am is MK till 3 am.

DD and I did this one year- Magic Kingdom until 3am!! We rode HM around 2:15am then headed for Splash Mountain, and we were the ONLY people walking through FrontierLand! It was like having our very own theme park- INCREDIBLE!! I will admit, it was a little odd when headed towards our room and bed at 4AM at POP, passing yawning people dragging their suitcases as they headed for DME and their early-morning flights home!

DD and I ADORE late nights at MK and will plan our entire trip around them!

There are few things in life like hitting the 2 or (better yet) 3AM MK goodnight kiss. My 6yo and I hit the "baby rides" after midnight while the teens /adults still somewhat clog the Mountains.

When my son was 8 we went to the Magic Kingdom for emh until 2 am. He loved every minute of it. After the fireworks (and his mothers departure and return to WLV) we rode Splash 5 times, Big Thunder 5 times and Space 3 times. We stayed until the CM told us we had to leave. Then we hopped a boat back to WLV. He fell asleep on the ride back and I carried him to our villa. He said it was one of the greatest times he's ever had at Disney and it was one of mine too!

My DH is also an early morning person and always wanted to be back on our hotel room balcony with a glass of wine to watch Illuminations at 9pm on our Oct trip. We didn't see one parade :sad2:

This time I'm going with my Mom and my niece and we are going to ROCK those late night EMH!!! (I hope we don't fade...will need to fortify with Starbucks coffee during the night!)

Those EMH are the best!
We were there last May and we took advantage of that time at MK.:thumbsup2
We were hoping that they would do a soft opening on 7DMT while we were there but no such luck but the crowd level wasn't that bad so it allowed us to take in a bunch of the rides with minimal wait times which was awesome! :cool1:

Have a blast and enjoy!!

I love EMH when it runs into the early hours. I always remember in 2008 being in MK till 3AM around August time and it was one of the most amazing memories... It was still hot and I remember being in Frontierland, it was so empty and a CM handing out free cottoncandy to everyone who walked past.
