I know dates aren't released yet for MNSSHP but Disney says MK will close at 7 on Sun Sept 11. I know with out tickets we are to leave. On a "normal" night closing you can stay and stop after close for a bit. Is this the same on party nights? I plan to get in a ride line right before 7 and want to shop when we get off on our way out. Without wrist bands will they let us? (Nonparty exclusive merch) What about grabbing a bite to eat at the counter serve restaurants that are open? I know we can not watch parade or fireworks or anything. I just want to eat or shop to part with more $ on our way out. Lol!

Not only can you not access any attractions, shops, restaurants or restrooms, but they do not allow you to stay in the park either. After 7 you will not be allowed to progress into the park at all without a wristband. They do sweeps of Main Street right up to and including the spots upstairs in the train station.

I know they do sweeps. I've gone to parties before but have never been on a party night when not staying. I've seen them do band checks at shows and such and tell people to leave. But I was hoping if we stopped at the Emporium on our way out the kids could pick out a toy. Or grab a hot dog to go at Casey's if they are hungry. I've always shopped after close on normal nights to wait for crowds to disperse so I was thinking it'd be the same after a 7:00 close. The food I figured would be less likely but worth asking about.

I know what you're thinking of, but it's not the same. They will check bands before allowing you to purchase anything at shops & restaurants.

You won't even be allowed into the shops or restaurants (or even the bathrooms, for that matter.) Don't be surprised if you're actually escorted out of the park if you get out of a ride or attraction more than a few minutes after 7:00.

Nope, they're serious about it. They won't let folks without a party ticket do anything but work their way to the exit after 7:00. It's very different than a regular, non-party night, where they don't mind if you linger and shop/eat on your way out.

The party-goers have paid a premium price to be the only ones in the park, so they won't let anyone linger. People try, for sure - but as someone who has attended three parties, I'm glad they keep the crowds down by asking folks to leave.

I'm very surprised by these answers as I've been to 3 parties and I have never been checked for a wrist band to use a toilet nor seen any CM anywhere near one checking others. I would never dream of waisting precious party hours to peruse The Emporium that can be done anytime so I imagined anyone in there were day time guests left shopping. I thought Disney was always willing to take a few more $ from its guests. I would never try to linger for party events as I know that is rude and against the rules.

We have been to MNSSHP three times and each time have watched cast members escorting non-wristband patrons out. Last time we went (2014) we saw them start doing the sweep at 6:45 at BTMRR. When they say the park closes at 7 then they want you walking out the door at 7, not getting onto rides or going into shops.

7-8 cast members would walk down the street arm-in-arm towards the entrance. They would only allow people on the other side of them if they had a wrist band. They ended up with a tide of people in front of them that they funneled to the gate.

The first parade is at 8:15. If they allowed people to linger after 7:00, it would be harder to be sure they are out by parade time. You are allowed to enter ride lines before 7:00, so they have to deal with those people getting off those rides around 7:30 or possibly later.

We were at MK on a party night but had no party tickets. We booked a meal at Tony's for 6:45. Tony's was running behind so we didn't eat until after 7 and were not out until 8. No one rushed around to escort us out of the park, but then again, it was raining hard and a lot of disappointed party guests were actually leaving at that time, too. We waited on the porch at Tony's for a while so the rain could subside and we could walk out to our car. No CM's seemed to care that we were there. Again, most folks were covered in ponchos, so it would have been quite a feat to search for guests with no wristbands.

To the OP, I would book a meal around 6:45, do a little shopping around 6:30, then head to dinner. That won't be a problem for anyone, and you make the most of your day in the park.

Last year the first parade was at 8:35. I speculate that they pushed it back to make sure they had time to clear out those day guests who attempted to linger. A lot of people (like us) booked dinners as close to 7 as possible. Getting those folks out of the parks before the parade must be quite a challenge.

BTW, we didn't book close to 7 to sneak and see the parade. We just wanted to have as much time in the parks as possible.

Has anyone done this recently? When is the latest you can make a table service ADR on a party night time-wise?

last you I got hurt on a ride about 6:00 and went to first aid to lay down a little after 8 I was having some medical problems and need something to eat when they released I did not have a party ticket I had to stay in first aid someone came and gave me a wrist band I went next door got a hotdog and then left to go rest at my hotel the nurses at first aid said they normally check first aid and were surprised they did not this night.

I have seen them tell guest who say they need to use the bathroom that they need to use them by GR and there were CM in there making sure guest left after that did not have a ticket.

. . . . and I have never been checked for a wrist band to use a toilet nor seen any CM anywhere near one checking others. . . .
As often as this is stated, I have to feel like it's an urban legend. Or less strict than it's made to sound. If the guest's response to "use the restrooms at the front of the park" is "It ain't waiting that long, your other choice is for me to use the flower bed over to your right", I have a hunch you're going to be allowed to use the restroom. Maybe accompanied by "Here's my iPhone, I'm not going to cheat if it means losing the phone."

Last year we attended the Oct 1st party and were checked repeatedly throughout the night. They did a great job of blocking off areas right before 7. Even while watching the parade, they came through right before and had everyone hold up their wrist. I was impressed as I was worried after that train wreck of a first party with day guests staying.

They are pretty consistent about checking. We were walking down Main Street last year at 7:10 and cast members were walking up and down asking for people to show their wrists.

Year before I had a raincoat on because it was drizzling and was asked (very nicely) to pull up my sleeve so they could check it.

I saw one family trying to blend in at the store on Main Street and were asked to leave at 7:30. They threw quite the fit about it. The CM escorted them out without letting them make purchases.
