My boyfriend and I will be arriving WDW on Christmas day and our flight doesn't get in until 11:30. We are using Magical Express to get to our hotel, so we plan on checking in (no unpacking) and leaving to head straight for Magic Kingdom.

Now, I know that sometimes MK closes when it reaches full capacity (which I've been told it prob will on Christmas day). Will we be able to wait "standby" to get in as guests leave?

What do you think our chances are?

I'd really REALLY like to be in MK on Christmas, so thats why I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for it. What do you think?

If we decide to go to another park, say Epcot for instance, can we still go back later to MK for EMH? I understand that MK has EMH on Christmas night (not sure what time though :confused3 ) ...will we have to be in MK when they give out the wrist bands for EMH?

Thanks in advance for the help!

im not sure if you can get on a wait list but i was told once they come close to maximum capacity they will only allow resort guests in and once it gets to a certain number only annual pass holders will be allowed in.

You will probably have a better time at another park due to immense crowds but since you expect crowds I have heard of people getting into mk in the afternoon. Good luck!!

I understand what you are saying we felt the same way that we had to experience MK on Christmas day and this is what we did last year.
Well we did it, we can say we were in MK on Christmas but at around 11:00 we had to get out of there because it was too crowded for our liking. The fact that there was a power outage and none of the rides were working didn't help matters. :sad2: I say go for it, try to get in, whats the worst that can happen.....you don't get in and you move on to another park and return later in the day.

As far as EMH, last year MK was open from midnight to 3:00AM on Christmas night :thumbsup2

Thanks, everyone for the help!!

Well, you will need a park hopper to go to EPCOT and the MK, but you probably already know that.

If you have that, you can show up at MK up to 2 hours after the start of EMH, and they will still let you in.
