MK on a Party Night?

On our first day, MK closes at 6 pm for the Christmas party. I thought we would avoid MK that day, but then thought maybe other people would avoid MK bc of the early closing time. What is the general consensus?

we just went last friday on a mnsshp night, and rides were practically walk on during the day. we got there around 9am and left a little before 6 and got a lot in. granted it started to rain, a lot, but before that it was pretty quiet.

The vast majority of people recommend going to MK on a party day as so many choose other parks. In the past we would plan all but 1 of our MK days on party days due to the lower crowds. We got so much more done in less hours will lower waits. A win-win for sure!

If you aren't concerned about not seeing Enchantment that day (you have another MK day planned, you have hoppers, you don't care about the show), then MK on a party day is delightful. People do avoid it because of the early close and lack of fireworks, keeping the attendance low. It won't be as insanely low as MNSSHP days in August and September, as they benefit from low monthly crowds in addition to party low crowds. But, you'll likely be able to do more rides/characters/shows with a more pleasant experience if you do MK on a party versus a non-party day.

We park hopped to MK on a MNSSHP day and it was great for the few hours we were there. However, the crowds did start to pick up again as the party folks started coming in at 4pm, but definitely not busy like a regular day.

We went on two party days and walked on a lot especially early on.

In past years, it was great going to MK on party days. The park was not crowded at all until 4 pm when party guests could enter. We will find out next month.

We went on two party days in the third week of August and it was not crowded at all. With Genie + over two mornings (leaving the parks at about 12/12.30) we were able to do nearly everything we wanted - I would say 20 attractions and some shopping. We then returned for a 3rd morning for repeats and saw the fireworks that night.

Went to MK this past Monday (Labor Day) which was a party day. Didn't wait more than 15 minute for anything. Even Seven Dwarfs was 20 mins. It was AMAZING

Like a lot of the replies, we just came back and had success starting at MK on party days (M & F last week). They also opened an hour earlier to feel less stricken by choosing MK on those days. But a lot of people didn't know it was open at 8 instead of 9 (we got in before 7:30 with EE). We were there last Christmas, and planned on coming to every MK party day for 1st park before PH.

We always have park hoppers, so party days are the best times for us to hit MK. And it's even better on days when they close at 4:30 for special events.

We went on a party day, it was great! Lots of rides, low/no waits (for perspective we walked onto pirates). The only drawback is hopping to another park - in my case Epcot, it was really busy

Like others have said, we found it a lot less crowded, but we MUCH prefer being at MK at night and really missed not closing the park down. We thought of park hopping but the 2 other parks usually close at 9 so when leaving MK at 6 it doesn't make getting PH worth it for at most 2 hours.
