I keep hearing conflicting thoughts on whether or not Magic Kingdom is more crowded on a MVMCP night or a non party night :confused3 We will be there Nov. 24-30 and planned on going to MK on the day we arrive, which is a non party night and a weekend. Are we crazy? I have never arrived in Disney on a weekend so this is new to me. We do have park hoppers so we are flexible. There are parties 3 nights we are there. We are not doing a party. I like to get to MK at least 3 times, one of them being our last day, which is a party day. Any thoughts on crowd levels at MK during this week? Also, when there is a party, are the other parks more or less crowded? Thanks!

Not sure where you're getting conflicting information. Party season is what it is. Non-party days are VERY crowded and party days are probably the least crowded days at MK all year long.

For your scenario, if you still want to do MK on your last day, just know that you will have to leave the park at 6:00 p.m., so it will be an early last day unless you go somewhere else that evening. However, it will be a great day for touring with low crowds and you'll get a lot done. If you go to MK on arrival day, it will be VERY crowded. You have a trifecta hitting you: For many of the Thanksgiving week people, that will be their last day and they will want to spend it at MK. It's the day before party days begin again, so people like you coming in will want to spend their first day at MK. It's a weekend.

Personally, I'd skip MK on that first day and go elsewhere. Since you have hoppers, I'd be hopping to MK on either Mon or Wed for HEA. I would NOT do a full day at MK on a non-party day. You can probably do everything you want and more on TWO party days at MK.

I’ll throw out a suggestion if you decide to visit MK as your final park on your final day. We’ve done the following several times on party days and it works well for us.

Because you’d have to exit MK by 6:00pm, it would be the perfect day to book a dinner reservation at one of the resort restaurants. Normally, using free Disney transportation to travel to a restaurant at a resort other than the one you’re staying can take some time as it would sometimes involve multiple modes of transportation. If you have to leave MK early anyway, maybe a trip to one of the resort signature restaurants for a “special meal” would be a great way to end your vacation.

Few things around here get consistent reviews, but party days being less crowded than non-party days is one of them. Since you have hoppers you can always pop in for a bit and then hop somewhere else if it's too crowded. But I would definitely plan at least one MK day on a party day.

I enjoy going on a party day and then leaving. It does seem less crowded so we get more done. This has been our go to strategy for a while. On a day that we are going to a party, we don't go anywhere until time for the party.

It seems to be hit or miss as to how busy party days are at MK. We have found them usually less busy and the non party days much more crowded. However, weekends always seem to be very crowded.
With your park hopper, you can always go, do your Fps and leave if its too crowded.
