MK on a Monday?

We are planning on Monday (at least the morning) being our first MK day of our week-long stay. I've read that Monday is a bad day, but the Unofficial Guide doesn't say that it's a day to avoid it. What do you DISeres think? We will be there the last week of Sept., so maybe crowds won't be as much of a concern. If not Monday, which day?

I would think Monday is one of the BEST days to go. It's not an EMH day for MK (at least not when I'm going in October), so it won't be crowded because of that. Also, local kids will be back in school on a Monday. If I had my druthers, I'd choose Monday to go to MK over any other day, if I could only go once.

According to the 'Brits Guide' busy day schedule, Monday IS a busy day. However, the last week of September shouldn't be too bad for crowds.

The quietest days (according to Brits Guide) are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (with Thursday supposedly the quietest).

You're right, at the end of September it won't matter much. Crowds will be very light.

I think it's the luck of the draw Seems each guide has it's own days as to which days are best in each of the parks.

One theory is Sunday is a big travel day and low crowds in the parks for that reason. Monday is most ppls 1st day in the parks and they hit the MK 1st. I'm arriving next Saturday night late. My plan is to check into my resort early Sunday morning staying off site Sat night then hitting the MK at opening or very shortly there after.

On a bit of a different note I've heard from many sources that Friday is a slow day for MK so back in Jan 02 the 1st week of the new year. We did disney and went to the MK on Friday and we could tell that it was a lot more crowded than it had been most days that week. Not a problem tho as it was low crowd time anyway but we could tell the difference.

WHY? Lot of ppl's last day in the parks is Friday and they finish up with their favorite. Plus holiday weekend or not theres a few FL ppl who will take a disney break for a weekend and include Friday in their weekend. Thus 1st day in parks MK.

But there again really I think it's the luck of the draw.
