MK on a Monday - is Sunday much better?

Remember there are a lot less AP’s right now so the local impact is minimized. Personally I think Sunday is a preferred day over Monday.

Sunday Feb 27 is princess half marathon. Would that sunday be better than the following Monday at MK? Not sure how a marathon affects crowds.

We went to MK on Princess HM sunday in 2020, and the morning time was glorious!
We were prepared for the transportation issues so we left Pop century at 6:45 for a 9:00 opening (we were on the first bus). it took an hour just to get to the TTC because of traffic issues, and buses were stopping at the TTC and not the bus stops because of road closures so we hard to take the monorail - but we were in front of the park at 7:55 and in the Park at 8:25 (they opened the gates later than usual) and we walked on Buzz, WtP, Dumbo, Ariel, met Ariel, met Gaston, rode it’s a small World, met Minnie and Daisy and Pluto and Goofy before 11:00! The Park was empty until then, but once people started arriving after the race was done it was crasy busy - so if you do go, make sure you plan accordingly!

Had heard Monday's were bad at MK but went this past Monday (2/7) anyway. Crowds were awful. Left after 2 hours even though we had Genie+. Several rides had 5 minute wait just to scan into the LL. Buzz Lightyear had 75 min wait around lunchtime. By noon most Genie + LL had booking windows of 5pm or later. Realized that Genie+ is helpful in HS and MK but you better be prepared to be there early and also be in the park late, even if you want to take a break. I will avoid Monday's at MK in the future if I can.
