Am I nuts for doing MK on a Friday? If so, what park would you suggest to do on this day? Thanks

DH and I think that the best day for MK is on Wednesday - it seems all families arrive on Saturdays and do other parks because all the locals visit MK on Saturdays and Sundays so usually it seems that visitors use Mondays and Tuesdays for MK. I would check out MK on Wednesday and perhaps do either MGM or AK (whichever one does not have early entry) and check out Epcot on the week-ends. This actually helped out a little (as the crowds were somewhat unmanageable) this past trip - just got back yesterday - good luck:)

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, we only have two days to do the parks this trip. Thursday and Friday. I have PS arrangements made for LeCellier, Garden Grill icecream social and just made ressies for Chef Mickeys. Feel like I'll have to stick with Epcot on Thursday and MK on Friday. Any other info would be helpful.

I was at MK this past Friday and the crowds were very moderate. Much lighter than the previous Monday. I didn't need fastpass for anything. The only ride with a very long wait was Peter Pan (50 minutes). Everything else in Fanasyland was a short wait in the afternoon.

Thank you for everyone's input. Any other info reguarding doing MK on a Friday would be helpful in making my final decision. Thanks!!

Because WDW is a destination resort people tend to travel on the weekends. However, weekends in the off season is when the locals visit. Rule of thumb is Monday is the busiest, then Tuesday, Thusday, Wednesday, Sunday, Saturday & Friday is the slowest. Anytime there is not parade/fireworks every night, expect the days they are offered to be the busiest. This week that makes Wed/Sat busiest and next week Sun/Wed/Sat.

We went to MK on May 9 and thought the crowds were moderate. We got to ride everything we wanted to and it was a grad night (no line was longer than 20 minutes). We never did use a FP the whole week but we got to the parks early and left around luch time and returned after 4 p.m.

We also went on May 9th and thought that there was no one there. On the tram ride from Epcot we could see that most of the parking lots were empty. Fastpass for Splash Mountain was broken and there was only a 30 minute wait. If there is no Spectro and no Fireworks, I think you will have good luck.
