MK @ Night ??

Been doing WDW every year since they opened, sometimes twice, & not very happy with the elimination of services & events like night parades, free nightime hours, as prices rise & Disney's "new greediness" takes over rather than making the experience family friendly (as Walt wanted it) !!!
Please tell me that there are "FREE" evenings to spend in the MK to enjoy the fireworks & late hours....as in the past ????
I can't find ANY in October..... Yes.. at least I have a MNSSHP ticket.

Without explanation, Disney did not put the weekly MK PM EMH on the calendar for October. Presumably this is due to offsetting the daily AM EMHs being offered during the month, although those same daily EMHs are occurring in Sept too which has the ‘normal’ weekly MK PM EMH on the calendar, so not exactly a totally logical explanation.

Granted we still should see closing times extended for October for the non-partly nights, but it’s not a good month for fans of MK PM EMHs.

They start back again on the calendar in November.

The fact that Disney now closes their parks early several times a week for special "ticketed" events during what used to be normal operating hours (especially during summer months) is something that bugs me to no end.

Same here. Now not everyone likes to tour like we do, but we generally hit a park in the morning, come back to our room at BLT for a siesta/swim/whatever, and then finish the night at MK. We love MK at night, it's my favorite thing. When we went last October, which was our first time visiting during any sort of MK Party, MK closing early 4 nights a week really cramped our usual touring style. We did visit the park for 1 party night, but we basically decided not to visit again when MK was going to be shut down early 4 nights a week. I'm not mad at WDW or anything, just we're going to choose to go at another time.

I have mixed feelings about the DAH events. We enjoyed the MK event we attended, but didn't find AK to be worth the extra cost really. Those didn't seem to interfere with normal park operating hours though. I will say I miss the late late EMH at MK. I love staying at MK until 12, 1, or even 2 AM.

I cannot express enough my disappointment with Disney eliminating the "free" EMH in the evening. We are not morning people and having disability getting up early isn't possible. We miss so much time in the parks.I

Not only are the eliminating or restricting our time in the parks. They still charge more. We were there last week on bounce back offer, 4 day park hopper tickets. Wanted to increase day tickets to 10. Even though over the phone I was quoted $67 to add days to our ticket. Disney t Guest Services charged me an additional $109. Now, I don't have a problem with cost, but I cannot ride. I spent 12 nights at Disney, paid $4,371 for package, then extra for ticket to add days. I watched a Bugs Life,Mickeys Philharmonic and the fireworks. Walked Epcot showcase, got a funnel cake at HS and are dinner at AK. Sure wish Disney could come out with a ticket for special needs that can't or won't ride.They say you have all the shows. Yes, but the last shows are early afternoon. and the shows haven't changed over the years at all). Surely with all the technology and Disney knowing where we are (magic bands). The band's do show which park you are\were in, and when you use dining credits, etc. When they scanned my finherprint, they asked me which park I last went to, to verify it was my magic band. It shows up on their "ipad".

You all night wonder why I keep going back spending all that money and not ride, I go to watch my grandchildren have a good time! Creating some memories while I still can!

I hate to be a downer... but those “free” emh evenings that last until 1 or 2am on non ultra busy times are gone. Disney is already heading towards multiple MK ticketing periods each day with DAH, EMM, and Midday magic tickets. Eventually I can see people having to choose between a ticket good for 8a-5p or 12noon-10p so you have to choose between the parade or the fireworks. The parties are more popular every year and arent going anywhere. They arent for us but take comfort in the fact that on party days (before the party starts) are not crowded at all... if you can stand missing the fireworks or have a park hopper you can accomplish more with less time.

I was able to attend an 11 pm-1 am EMH in July. I'm sorry to hear they're few and far between.
