We always are looking for new and different lunch spots at Magic Kingdom. Last year we tried Columbia Harbour House and LOVED it! But, we want to try something new. What can you tell us about Cosmic Ray's? Obviously, it doesn't look fancy...we don't need that anyway...but is it clean...and can you get a decent burger and/or sandwich for a decent price?
Thanks!

We eat at Cosmic Rays almost every time we go to MK. We usually get the family chicken meal there and find it very good!

We too eat our lunch there every trip so far!! It gets kind of crowded right at lunch time, but otherwise it's your standard counter service place, but lots of seating!! Plus the siging robot alien.:D

Pecos Bill's over in Frontierland has good burgers and delicious chili cheese fries:earsboy: Columbia Harbour House is also our fave at MK.

Columbia Harbor house is our favorite too but if I had to choose another it would definately be Pecos Bills.

We also need our hot dog fix at WDW and no other place will do other than Casey's on Main street. My girls LOVE to sit outside by the piano - oh I can't wait!

If you can get there early enough, Gepetto's in Fantasyland has a section that overlooks the boat loading in It's A Small World. They have the standard hot dog and hamburger combo meals but also a side of "gepetto fries" that has cheese, bacon bits, lettuce and tomato and ranch dressing on top. That's just someplace we can sit and watch people while we eat and it's fairly quiet.

Wow...never heard of Gepetto's...sounds interesting. We love Small World....sounds like relaxing place!

Acutally the name of that restaurant is PINOCCHIO'S VILLAGE HAUS, its just behind Dumbo.

Acck!! As many times as I've been to Disney and eaten there and I never knew the correct name :)

Hi there!

I'd vote for the Plaza Restaurant around the corner from the ice cream shop (not the open air Plaza Pavillion). It's a cute turn of the century sandwich shop/ice cream parlor (table servcice) with the best turkey sandwich on multigrain bread. And if you have room, the sundaes are delicious (and enormous). Plus they serve the crinkly fries with mini-bottles of ketchup. The prices are very reasonable. We love stopping here when we need a break from the heat and/or crowds. Plus the Mayor stops in from time to time to check in with the patrons.

Cosmic Ray's is good. We got the family chicken meal and it was a great value (ever important to cheapie stepdaddy). The food was great, and there was a ton of it. If we hadn't discovered that place our last day there that probably would have been the only place we ate the rest of the trip. We loved Columbia Harbor House too, as well as Pecos Bills.

I also enjoyed Ray's. The topping bar for the burgers got really backed up during lunch time but you couldn't skip it as the mushrooms and sauteed onions were the best!

My absolute favorite is the taco salad at El Pirata y el Perico in
Adventureland...yum.

I agree with hannahryan...another vote for El pirata y el perico

Cosmic Rays has a decent chicken caesar salad.

Another place to think about is the Plaza restaurant, it's not that expensive and really tasty.

Another vote for the Plaza Restaurant. We ate there on one of our MK days and it was a nice 'break'. Sitting inside in the A/C and watching the activity go by was nice. The food was good and not that much more expensive than counter service, too.

We love Plaza Restaurant - nice relaxing break for lunch in the AC. We also like Pecos Bills (good burgers and chicken wraps) and also Cosmic Rays for the Variety.

I have to vote for a hotdog at Casey's. I love eating a good hotdog. Something else we did this time was a turkey leg from the lunching pad in tomorrowland. This was great and at $5 has to be the best value at DW.
