I'm sure they will be great Nancy!! I have done the same thing, sometimes I have the general idea it's just the little extra I have to think about for awhile.

Well, I have 2 groups done, only 4 more to go.

I finished another set of elements last night... so I have about 4 more to go too!!! DH is home again today so after I run errands this morning, I'll try starting another set.. I have my ideas...and than once I do a template, I think of an idea for another swap.. I have about a gillion pieces of scrap paper per swap with drawing and ideas on it...

Hi Nancy.............I have one element done and packaged. The rest will be done after I finish the Epcot and Cruise swaps. I won't have a problem getting this to you on time, especially if it continues to rain like it has since Tuesday!

Also, you are sending me your storms again! We had a reprieve yesterday and now we are getting them again.. Just in time for my oldest to get home from basketball camp and unload all of his stuff in the rain... I guess I better go change out of this white shirt! Ok, here's the call.. He's about 20 minutes away!! And we have hail! Yeah! NOT!

ETA: In group 1.. would anyone mind if I switch to 2 slide mounts or a shaker for adventureland.. This mini-file folder is giving me all kinds of fits and today it got the better of me and put me in tears.. Let me know.. I can keep working on it if everyone really wants it! Darn file folder!

Yes, please by all means..come and knock them out for me!!!! I may switch to slide mounts.. I have an idea for them..but every time I go downstairs to sneak a few minutes of work in... the phone rings, the kids are arguing over the game, tv or whatever the deal for the moment is! I don't like rainy days when they are stuck in the house...they are never happy!

So, the kids are done with school now, right????

Nancy, there should be sunny weather heading your way. It cleared up here about two hours ago and the humidity is way down. Of course, it may be dark out by the time it clears up there, but hopefully you'll get the sunshine.

Change to whatever makes you happy for the Group 1! It's not worth getting upset and I'm sure you'll do a great job with whatever you change to!

So, you are telling me you are not going to road trip 10 hours out of your way to take care of these folders???

I tend to always carry our dvd player in the van w/ some movies on long trips.. even to my mom's... they get into them and it's a little peace for me!!

I tried a slide mount and liked it.. I want to do a little more to it..but I like it!!! Now, to see if I'm happy once I tweak it a little more! LOL

Thanks bunches!! I tried a slide mount a liked it.. I'd like to do a little more tweaking to it though.. That file folder was just giving me fits! OMG! If it had been a bit bigger I would have shoved it through the shredder!

We got a few storms in but they did not last long and it is humid and muggy.. it's awful here right now.. Some sun peeking through but overcast!

I've not even been inspired to clean the house.. One room at a time! If your house is like mine.. the kids patiently watch me clean a room and than wait for that perfect moment of my accomplishment...for me to start another project; return...and my masterpiece of clean is gone! I've decided that is their mission this summer!

I'm glad you found a solution that didn't make you cry, Nancy. I know how it feels to have something not work out the way you wanted it to. I've had to scrap (ha-ha) many ideas that didn't pan out.

I am checking in to say I have finally made progress on this swap. I have one of my 3 groups done!

I was laughing at myself today and I wondered if anyone else does something similar. I hate to waste paper (a bit anal retentive about it actually) so when I make a template or test element I never use the actual colors I'm going to ultimately choose. I always use orange, because when I buy cardstock in a package orange is always the color I never end up using so I have tons of it left over. So orange is my "default" color. Does anyone else do anything crazy like that?

I have some construction paper that I use to test a bunch of my stuff. Especially larger items, like checking out my math for double matted frames. A hole too small or too big, is a quick way to ruin a lot of paper.

Actually, yes I do.. I make my templates out of construction paper!! Yes, I laugh at myself and than toss it if it doesn't work properly!! Things that sound easy in my head sometimes don't turn out easy on paper... I was just wondering if what I did on the new slide mounts would have worked on the mini-file folder... hmmm? I'll have to try it out for curosity sake..

I've got 3 groups of elements done.. Only 2 more, I think.. and than I think I have 2 more on the ride swap...and than I need to start the gizzillion others I'm signed up for! DH likes that I'm doing this because he says I've been happier and more tolerating of his late nights at work!!!
