anyone know what's going on this date that they would increase the regular hours from 9-8 to 8am-12am. just curious since it now seems to be the park to avoid

I think they're just anticipating larger crowds. I can't imagine there's any other reason to extend regular park hours.

Good question. Definitely interesting hours compared to the days around it and last year's hours. The Pro Bowl came to mind, but that is 1/28. Curious what others have to say.

I'm there the following weekend and I'm fairly certain I received a Touring Plans notification for the same thing on 1/27.

Yup - MK hours for Sat, 1/27 have changed to 8AM-12AM too. Good catch!

Those hours are materially different than this year!

hmmm, interesting...it's throwing me off a bit for this trip since it's just a weekend trip with group obligations with my daughter's dance group. We have a HDDR group thing, then we were going to Epcot after even thought it's a bit of a pain, since we'll be at MK all day (and night) on Friday, but now this change is making the quick trip to MK more appealing - argh!
