Went last Tuesday, the 12-met up with family members who drive in to meet us. Was there for park opening-we avoided EMH like the plague. The MK was crowded but I have seen it more so. Did FP for BTM and SM, walked right on to POTC. Small World, Jungle Cruise and HM. Caught Philharmagic just as they were about to close off seating. Liked it a lot. Huge waits for Peter Pan, Pooh, etc. Skipped all of those. Used FP for Buzz, liked it so well, we got another FP and did it again at night.

Big crowds for Sprectro Magic. watched it Frontierland, seemed a lot less crowded then Main St. Wished was awesome. We had a easy time getting out even with the crowds. The weather was hot but not as hot as the rest of the vacation. Got a LOT done in the morning before our Crystal Palace lunch.

Is it just me or is Tomorroland looking very dated? It';s always been my least favorite part of the park :confused3 and this visit did nothing to change my opinion.

If you ever listen to Walt or Marty Sklar (one of the head Imaginear) talk about Tomorrowland, it seems it always has to be maintained as far as keeping it up-to-date. For instance Mission to the Moon became Mission to Mars, and now is Mission:SPACE, although in another park. It's the only part of the MK that really has to contend with the future, as the rest is based in either nostalgia or fantasy.

I don't know how dated it is though. WEDWAY is still a possible futuristic transportation option, The great thing about the CoP is while the past is the past, the future part is still in our future. Most of the other rides are based on some of the more sci-fi movies of Disney, as they fit best into Tomorrowland. Buzz, Stitch, where else would the fit in? I'm curious how the "new" Space Mountain is in DL. I still think Tomorrowland is very fun, and as such (and as a sci-fi person) I think it looks fine.

I love Tomorrowland! It's one of my favorite areas of the Magic Kingdom. They did make it over a few years ago, and I think the lights and such look great. But even if it is outdated, it's what Walt thought the future would look like, and that's enough for me.

p.s. Sounds like you teared through the park! Great job!

I love tommorwland myself! I just love the way it looks, it is our first stop in MK each trip..

If I recall correctly, those that make the decisions at WDW decided that since they would not be able to keep up with the pace of technology, they would just give Tomorrowland more of a retro-feel and leave it at that.
