For the 3rd and 4th weeks of April. I know someone had posted that the hours had been extended for the last week of April but they have also been extended ( and by a good bit ) for the 3rd week. I'm not really sure if I should be excited or disappointed. We really hate large crowds and thought this would be a perfect time to go since Easter was over but it isn't looking good. I was really excited but now a little leary. Anyone else in the same "boat"?

Best advice I can give you is get there right away in the morning. MK was packed this past wednesday except for the first couple of hours. Use fastpass wisely.

I don't know what to think about this one. But then again the last time we were there in April it was Easter, and the Millenium celebration so the crowds were unbelievable (3 hour standby at Splash Mountain at 9 am :earseek: )
We're going to be there the 23-May 1, so I'm getting a little anxious/nervous with the news I've been seeing.

of April and I just decided to print out the hours from Disney's website and what time the parades and shows were. We had planned to get there a day early JUST for Spectro (supposedly the ONLY time it would show ALL WEEK). When I printed out the hours I saw that indeed a little later in the week they are having Spectro again. As recently as a month ago they only showed the one Spectro showing...so obviously they are making some last minute changes (for the good too). It does make me a little nervous though like they are expecting larger crowds at the last minute or something :confused3 .

We'll see...

Wow, this is good to know! I need to check these out! I know we were not going to be able to do Spectro in the begining of the week...but now maybe?!? :)

Has anybody heard how they are for next week? I'm starting to get worried, I thought the crowds would have died down after easter for a week or two.

Ok, so I looked and the only thing I see different is MK is open until 11 on 4/17 and until 12 on 4/18. Also, there is Spectro on Sun and Mon now. Maybe we will head over to see Spectro on Sun night?

I think they did this for the grad nites, and not because they think the parks are going to be "so packed". At least, that is what I am hoping for! ;) :wizard:

I was excited when I first saw this thread....but the postings for later hrs...and add'l Spectromagics didn't coincide for our trip! :rotfl: I now have 2 later MK nights during my stay....but still no Spectro parade!!!! I thought for SURE they would add one on either Thurs, 4/28 or Mon 5/2 given the early closing on the weekend for grad nites!! But no such luck ... yet! :rotfl2:

And this means now I'm keeping my kids up later to see wishes, w/out the added benefit of seeing Spectro. Don't know if we'll make it. :sad2: At least the Sun and Mon nights are still 9pm MK closings. We might make a Wishes show then.

There IS a Spectro parade during our stay!!!!!! The DIS hours haven't been completely updated I guess. I just went to the OFFICIAL Disney website and sure enough on Thurs 4/28 when they extended the hrs til 10pm...they added a Spectro!!!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc :earseek:

I'm in the same "boat"... d96j97. We're going 4/18-4/26 and according to the unofficial guide this should be a week of 4 or 5 out of 10 for crowd levels. We will be in Florida for a wedding anyway so we didn't plan to go because of the crowd levels but up until a few weeks ago, before Disney started extending the MK hours, it was looking good.

Does anyone know if hours are later because of Grad Nights or another reason? I also read it could be for the preview weekend of Soarin'.

Either way we'll have a blast but I don't know what the crowd levels will be like. Any thoughts?

Have they extended park hours and added on Spectromagic during Grad Nite weeks before? If this is the first time, I think it may have more to do with the crowds than with Grad Nites.

I don't care why it's being doing, I just happy that I'll get more time in the parks. We'll also be able to catch Spectro several times during the week. :cheer2:

Just 19 more days to go. :moped: :hourglass
