MK help please

Hoping some of the experts can give me some quick advise before tomorrow. We are staying off site. Haven't been to Disney since covid started. I am desperate from some MK help. We are staying about 15 minutes away from MK. We plan on going tomorrow and going for "rope drop". What time do they allow off-site guests to go through the TTC gate? Do the ferries monorail run once you get through the gates? What time do the MK hates actually open? All four kids can finally ride SDMT and the little one is ridiculously excited about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, any other toys would be extremely helpful as we haven't been in a few years. TIA

If you REALLY want to be safe, take a Lyft (or an Uber) to the Contemporary and walk. Be at the contemporary at least 45 minutes before scheduled opening. That’s the best advice I can give.

Literally what could they do? The gate to enter is in the parking lot. You can just jump out.

We are here now and staying also about 15 minutes off-site. We drove to MK on Sunday, got there earlier than expected at about 7:40 and were 3-5 cars back at the toll booth. Tollbooth opened at 8 on the button.

Got straight on a monorail, no wait. Not sure what time we got into MK because monorail was held for clearance for a few minutes at the Contemporary (not long, I've waited longer for rope drop when staying at a Disney resort). Temp check, security, and scanning in had no wait.

We did Big Thunder and Pirates and then walked back to Splash to see if it was open. We entered the queue at 9:01 for that ride and didn't wait very long (I didn't check the wait time). Rope drop is definitely still a good strategy. I've been several times since reopening and it's helped get a lot done every time. This is the first time I've stayed off property though doing it. (Will be going back to MK on Friday and using the same strategy.)

I don’t think it’s quite an hour anymore. More like 30 minutes or a little more. They’ve been walking it back very slowly to be closer to the posted time.

Maybe it will help with a transition to the 30 minute early admission for hotel guests coming in the future.

Park opening or parking lot opening?

We don't mind waiting on line to get into the park but would really get frustrated waiting a half-hour lined up at the parking lot gate!

The MK has VIP parking way up front by TTA if you just might to pay a few extra dollars. Be aware trollers are not always running and you could have a good long walk to the TTA, if they decide to fill a back lot first. The race track is gone and someone mentioned last week, they were directed to park in the new parking area. The mom said it took over 25 minutes to get to the TTA. That is like 2 miles out.
