MK Fireworks

Ok, I have a question. We are going to DW in 28 days for the first time with our girls and staying at WL. My husband's cousin and his family (of 4) are going with us. The wife is a BIG Disney fan and has went at least once per year since 1989. She asked about the fireworks at MK. The last time they were there (9/11/01 - when the park closed due to the terrorist attack), she commented on that Tinkerbell didn't slide down during the fireworks. I'm not sure what she is talking about, but does Tink slide down during the fireworks display at MK?

Tinkerbell "flies" accross the park from the top of the castle, to somewhere in tomorrowland before the fireworks begin... it's pretty amazing to see! If you look up on the right side of the castle, you can see the guide wire. it's a don't miss if you are going to watch the fireworks... a great place to see her is on the bridge that leads into tomorrow land, or on the walkway that goes from the right of the castle, up into fantasy land... by the way, we viewed the fireworks from fantasyland after her flight this past week, and it was an amazing site!

Tinkerbell slides from the top of the castle to a "catch box" located in an off stage area of the MK. It is located between Buzz Lightyear and the Tomorrowland Theater.

Picture a diving board platform with a box approx. 4'-0" wide and 15'-0" long and fully padded on top of it.

I have PS at Chef Mickey for 8:00PM for our first night at WDW. Is there a good place at CR to view the fireworks?

On the same floor of the resort as Chef Mickey's but on the opposite end there is an outside area that has a wonderful view of the MK fireworks. The patio area is nicer than watching through the window wall as you can hear the booms and the monorail runs right over your head.
