We have O'Hana reservations for dinner at 6:35.
Is it reasonable to have dinner and then possibly view the MK fireworks? How long does dinner at Ohana take, unrushed?
Will the Polynesian allow us to watch the fireworks even if we are not staying there?

We were there two weeks ago. We found that the vegetation makes it hard to see from most spots in the restaurant. We went down to the Poly beach and watched from there. We were not staying at the Poly.

We prefer to watch from the Poly beach rather than the restaurant if given the choice, something about being outside on the beach there makes it a little more "magical".:thumbsup2 (Although keep in mind -people will start saving beach chairs a long time prior to the fireworks). We brought a little blanket in our backpack and just sat on that. Not a problem to watch from there after dinner even if you're not staying there.:)

For a 6:35 ADR, depends on what time WISHES is scheduled that night. (if it's 8:00 you may cut it close to watch from the beach and may have to watch from the restaurant-we have never sat at our exact ADR time at O'Hana) and it'll probably take at least an hr to dine once you sit.

not a lot to add, but we did the same thing - going down to the beach to watch. There is a pool bar there too so we got some drinks for the show

I would think you would catch the show in time even if a 8pm wishes BUT, as was mentioned, you might not get a great spot due to people camping out

Just to add, I think that is one of the best spots to watch the show and we saw Hallowishes there and from that viewpoint you can really see the scope of the fireworks

One other thing we noticed. The beach area had quite a few people despite the cold night. We walked further down the pathway (to the right if you are facing MK). We found that we could hear the music better because people weren't all talking and laughing. I am not against talking and laughing, but I love to hear the music for Wishes.

We've watched from the beach there many times and love it. Great view and the piped in music too!
