MK fireworks in Oct.

Is it true that MK only has fireworks on sat. in Oct? I was under the impression that they occured a few times during the week too. Anyone remember from last year? Dates of interest are 10/15-10/23.

I'm not sure about last year... but 2 and 3 years ago, they were at least 3 or 4 times a week. Not just on weekends.

They have special fireworks on the nights of MNSSHP, as well as Saturdays.

You cannot base your fireoworks plan from last years Oct schedule...

They ran a test program for about 3 weeks from mid sept. Originally, fireworks and spectro were scheduled only on Sat. The test program was, 1 week fireworks daily, 1 week spectro daily, and 1 week alternating fireworks and spectro. We went during the alternating week. For the dates you are going, I would expect fireworks and spectro Sat only and anything else is a plus. This is also the time of year they reintroduced EE. (they did this all for out trip).

It is possible this was all done becuase attendance was starting to pick up and they could afford slightly extended hours. Also, the test ended when MNSSHP started since there is fireworks on those nights.

I was visiting last year from 10/23 to 10/27. There were the MNSSHP fireworks Friday, and the regular ones Saturday. We missed out on the Haunted Hayride over at FW--hoping to work that in this year if offered again.

We were there at that time last two years in a row and yes they only have fireworks once a week except on MNSSHP. Then they have perimeter fireworks and a Halloween Spectro parade on each of those nights but you have to have a MNSSHP ticket to get in the parks. They really are the best though!

Thanks for all the info. We will be staying at the CR and want to make sure we can see some fireworks other than just Sat. We also want to try CG and Sat. night may be harder to get a good PS. Looks like we may have a few nights to choose from.
