MK Fireworks Cruise??

I posted this on the cruise thread but did not get a reply....... so I'm trying here!

Can anyone give me more information about the MK cruises? We will be celebrating my DDs 16th birthday in July and we will be at MK that day and then eating dinner at Ohana. I would like to schedule a fireworks cruise for MK fireworks but I just want some more feedback first from those that have done this because most of this information is about the Epcot fireworks. Is there another thread for MK fireworks that I missed possibly???? Thanks!

We did an MK fireworks cruise and LOVED it! You truly can't beat the view from out on the lagoon straight in front of the castle with the fireworks going off. It's incredibly peaceful and exciting all at the same time. I highly recommend it!!

We just did the fireworks cruise at the end of March,it was for my sister and BIL birthdays.

We booked the Birthday package with was 120.00. The boat was decorated with balloons and they provided soda and a really cute, big and yummy B-day cake.

we were picked up and the Contemporary, where we were staying, about 40 minutes before the fireworks started. Our captain took us on a ride over to see the WL and then we headed into the 7 seas lagoon. We were given a tour around the lagoon and he answered any questions we had, it was so pretty at night. Then we stopped in front of the castle, our captain then offered to get everyone drinks and then he served the cake, he was really great! We watched the firworks which was really neat, I just wish we could've heard the music better.

After the fireworks were over we slowly made our way back to the resort.

It was fun and a special way to celebrate their b-days.

I agree with the above poster---- wish we could have heard the music at all. Our boat must have been further back than theirs because we couldn't hear any music. Still--nieces loved it.

We just booked an Illuminations cruise for 4/23. I called to ask about a cancellation and got lucky! I did not know there was also a MK cruise. Is it the same type of boat? What time does it cruise? Where do you leave from? How much is it? Any info. would be great. Thanks!

we have done the cruise twice,leaving from the wilderness lodge. however, you can also leave from the contemporary. not sure if one leaves from the floridian. seems like we paid around $120 for the boat and driver. we were in a pontoon boat. these are great! go for it!!

Thanks to everyone for their advice and comments. I am going to do this and keep it as a surprise to my DD so that after dinner at Ohana, we will tell her there is a surprise for her and board from the Poly dock!
