MK firework viewing from the Ferry

We plan to view the MK fireworks from the park on our first night at WDW. We also have planned a second afternoon/evening at MK and I thought we might leave around 7pm, ride the monorail to the Polynesian, check out the resort, grab a drink and watch the Water Pagent which we have never experienced. Then ride the Ferry roundtrip to MK and then back to TTC so that we can try to view the MK fireworks from the ferry. Then catch the monorail to Epcot (hopefully, the mass exodus from Epcot Illuminations will be over) then the catch bus back to POP.

Questions....

1. Where is the best place to view the water pagent from Poly?

1. What is the easiest way from Poly to TTC to catch the ferry. Monorail or walk?

2. Will they let us stay on the ferry for the round trip? or will we have to get off and reboard?

3. What time should we try to catch the ferry for Jun 8 - 10pm fireworks?

4. Do you think this plan will work?

1.(a) Poly Beach... That's where they position the barges.
If you also want to see Wishes (the MK fireworks show from the beach,
walk along the sand until you see the Castle clearly (not obscured by trees).

1. (b) Walk

2. Just stay on.

3. The problem is, it takes "X" amount of time to load the Ferry.
So you'll just have to get lucky.
Assume Wishes will start at EXACTLY 10pm.

4. If by "work" you mean can you see part of Wishes from the ferry... Yes.

But I wouldn't bother to try to make the timings work (its out of your control just WHEN the ferry(s) will leave the docks.)
The Poly Beach will "guarantee" a good show without worrying about "boat-timings".

Thanks for the info!! We will forget the fireworks from the ferry idea and watch the fireworks from Poly beach. Between the water pagent and the fireworks, appears we will be on the beach for over an hour.

Are there chairs on the Poly beach?

Several beach chairs and a couple of wide swings.

If its busy, you MIGHT not find any unoccupied.
But the last time I was there, (late Jan. '06) there were only about a half-dozen folks near my location.
Again, the best spot for Wishes is to walk along the sand (there's a sidewalk) until the MK castle is not obstructed by trees.
That offers a clear view of the "lower" fireworks fired from near the castle.
The "main" fireworks are HUGE and high viewed from the Ploy beach.
