MK Firework Dessert Party

I have a question.

DH and I are thinking about going to the party Sep 21st but don't want to make an adr and pay cause with being pregnant I have been sleeping earlier and don't want to waste money if I'm to tired to attend. So my question is if I'm up to it and we want to try to get into the party, I know my chances are slim at getting in but when do you think I should go and ask about possibly getting in? Thanks

Of course you can always try but there isnt any guarantee it would work. You could try and book it, and always cancel 24 hours before your adr to get a refund.

Like I posted I won't know 24 hours in advance if I'll be awake for the party. Hopeing someone can let me know how far before the start of the party I should ask if they have any openings.

They don't turn the lights out but people have said that they don't notice the lights are on when watching the fireworks

I was going to say the same thing about the lights. Then I realized we were there the same night! I found it be a wonderful experience that I would definitely do again.

What type of beverages do they serve? Everyone in our family drinks something different and I need to know what I need to bring with me.

DH likes soda, teen will only drink chocolate milk, pre-teen only white milk, toddler only apple juice.
Did you see anything like that there?

The night we were there....

Coffee
Cold Tea - unsweetened and rasberry unsweetened (sugar packets available)
Pitchers of cold water
Milk upon request
Lemonade

I think if you were to ask for hot water for tea you could get that also.

I personally brought a pop (cola) with me for my kids but they did have a little lemonade and water.

I am currently at the dessert party for 9/9. Wanted to let everyone know that they are taking walkups. Only about half of the tables were reserved and they still assign tables.

I seriously cannot wait for this event. We go on Sept 19th! I love Wishes and desserts so its perfect!!

Proceed up Main Street. At the corner, where the ice cream shop is, make a right. Go passed The Plaza Restaurant and continue straight. It's a blue building where you'll see tables and chairs set up on 2-3 different levels on the left and the right. In all my visits there, I'd never noticed it before either. FYI, you can also cut through there to go to Tomorrowland, instead of having to walk through the hub in front of the Castle.

can i use DDP for it? or buy special admission? if so, how much? where is it? what time...

The start time is tied in with Wishes. I think it starts an hour before wishes. I think they stagger the sitting times somewhat. It is a buffet of dessert items and a selection of drinks. You can not use DDP.

I just book an ADR and the CM said it was $30 but recent reports were $23 so I'll see when I get there. (it was $18 when it started in June) I did not have to leave a cc#

You get the dessert buffet and can watch wishes. It is not right in front of the Castle but has good viewing for the fireworks.
It was scheduled to end 8/28 but has been extended to 11/01/09

You might want to call back and have them check out that reservation. I'm pretty sure they booked you something else. All of those having booked the party have had to give a CC# and WDW Dine charges you right on the spot, like the also do for instance for CRT.

Same thing for our reservation, and as IPO made those I'm pretty convident they didn't screw up. ;-) Price; $24something per adult, which includes the taxes.

Cancellation policy is cancel 25 hours or earlier to get money back.

Yes, please call back on your reservation I have done the party before and going again on wednesday. There is no way you have a reservation for the party if they did not charge your card. I have long stories on this but I'm trying to keep it short. They most likely booked you in on a buffet dinner and not the party. Please call back with your confirmation number and let them tell you what kind of reservation they have you booked for.

9/20 is a Sunday. There is no Wishes Dessert Party on Sundays - as the PP said, that is a dinner buffet and is not intended to provide a view of Wishes. You must pay for the dessert party at the time of booking - total price with tax is $23.47 for adults.

Definitely call back. I did the Wishes Dessert Party on 9/3 and you have to pay in advance, with a credit card. Sounds like they booked you for the wrong event.
