MK filled to capacity today!

Madge: We were in AK on thurs. too. It was crowded by the afternoon, but we were still able to do rides, games and safari with less than 10 min. wait. I wish I would have seen you to say hello. I had my dis green on my backpack.

Pooh: I read the warnings so much about not going during spring break time that I almost became neurotic! (I"m addicted to these boards!) When we got down 3/30-4/3, I was very happy to see that it really wasn't that bad at all. By using fast pass and doing the smart things that I've learned through you all, my extended family, we never said to ourselves, "this is nuts, what were we thinking." yes, it was less crowded in Nov '03 (week before thanksgiving) but the days we were down were very doable. We did Splash Mountain 3x in one day! Hovwever, I was sure glad we left on the 3rd. The crowds were coming in for Easter Week, so maybe that is the true Spring Break---i don't know. Or do you all consider Spring Break all the weeks before as well, since schools vary?

My son and his g/f are down there right now. They called me from the MK on Tuesday :D . They said that they had never seen it more crowded and they lived in Kissimmee for over 2 years. They also said they'd never go this time of the year again. Still, they are having a good time and had to brag to me that they'd just had a Dole Whip. :p

Leaving today at 4:30...spending the night at an airport hotel with a cab reserved for 7am bound for the Boardwalk. With any luck, we will be checked in and waiting on line at MGM before they open at 9am tomorrow! Crowds or not, here we come! The Floriday sunshine, dole whips, fireworks, and pixie dust await!!!!

If the park is in a phase closing and your friends don't even have tickets, your group may fall into an earlier phase closing. If you are planning on entering MK I think you should be making alternative plans. I don't think you have a winning gambler's chance on getting through the turnstiles arriving on property at your intended time.

We had no trouble riding anything, but near the safari was absolute chaos, no one seemed to have a clue what they were doing there. The only reason we even chose to go to the AK last Thursday was because it was so cool--every other time we have been it was a million degrees in the shade, LOL. The longest line we waited in was for lunch at restaurantasaurus. It was well over 30 minutes from the time I got in line until I got my food

What we found last week, was even though there were crowds, it didn't seem as they were waiting in line to ride anything, LOL. The longest wait we saw for Splash Mt. on 3/31 was 30 minutes, and we were at the MK most of the day.

Another thing we noticed was that the line for Test Track was always longer than the wait for Mission: Space--that thrilleed my son, LOL!

I'd go at Spring Break again, as long as it isn't the week before or after Easter.

Thank you everybody for you advice!

Good luck has come! I'll be leaving at 7:30 am or earlier (be there by 9am if I-4 is okay) and my friends already have their tickets so I should be okay!

Happy Easter everyone!

I hesitate to even ask this, but will Disney be just as packed next week as it apparently has been this week? We arrive Monday, April 12. It was the only time we could possibly go.

thanks

I haven't read all 4 pages of posts so sorry if my post contains duplicate information.

We were at WDW 3/30 - 4/6, the first several days of our trip were not too bad, but the last few were very, very crowded.

We visited MGM on Sat 4/3, it was packed most of the day - especially TOT and RNRC area.

On Sunday 4/4 we decided to skip the parks - we slept in (regaining the hour we lost to daylight savings time). The resort (POFQ), the food court, and especially the pool area was busy.

On Monday 4/5 we started at AK - it was absolutely wall to wall people, walking around in the middle of the morning was like walking around Main Street after a MK parade.

We gave up on AK shortly after noon and went to Epcot. It was crowded, but bearable. Except for TT (fastpass was sold out by late afternoon and standby wait was 75 minutes), the lines were not too bad.
