Has anyone done this and have any opinions they would like to share?
(We have a 3 and 6 year old. Both girls.)
Thanks!

We liked the Family Magic Tour so much we did it twice in one trip! It's kind of like a scavenger hunt... we had a quest. At the end the kids get one on one attention from a character and get to ride a ride with the character. I can still see my youngest dd grinning ear to ear when Peter Pan rode It's A Small World with us. It is on our to do list this April. Next to the guest of honor badges it is the best spent $ at WDW. There are several way to get a discount on the tour (annual pass, AAA, etc...)

Great fun ... just be prepared to act silly.

After our meet and greet with Peter Pan and Wendy, while walking to It's a Small World, Peter grabbed my grandson's hand, ran over to the Liberty Bell, they hopped the fence, rang the bell, then Peter yelled "William did it, not me."

It happened so fast I almost missed catching it on film!

Walking through Liberty Square on our way to IASM

We entered IASM through the exit and nabbed a boat.

Group shot after IASM. The kids each got a Magical Moments Certificate.

We'll be doing this again on our next trip (August 2003).

Isn't Peter great? He really is a big kid! My girls love him. My youngest is always doing the Peter Pan rooster crow!

Fun! Do you think a just turned 3 year old would like this?

Hard to say ... there's a lot of walking involved ... the little guy in our group was pushed around in a stroller.

And there's a "theme" (for lack of a better word) for the tour ... in our case we were trying to save the MK from a evil spell casted by Malificient (sp?) ... so we were figuring out and following clues.

I probably wouldn't do it with just a 3 y.o., but since you have an older daughter I consider it if we weren't coming back to Disney for several years ... my grandkids were 6½ and 8 and had a blast!

Thanks for the pictures and the info!! I'm thinking we'll do this on our next family trip! I'm trying to squeeze in all the things the kids will be too old for when we return again in 2007!

We did this in Nov and my boys 3 and 5 loved it! Yes, my 3 year old got really tired. There is A LOT of walking involved - you go throughout the entire MK. But when DS3 figured out that he got to participate more when he volunteered then he seemed much happier. I would not try and use a stroller for a child who wants to participate.

So encourage your girls beforehand to speak up and volunteer. The kids that weren't shy had a much better time.

There was a 10 year old on our tour who helped read the clues, but he acted very embarased. So you're right, your 6 year old might not enjoy it when she is 9 (2007).

Be sure and act like a kid!

So it is possible to push a stroller thru this tour even if our 3 year old is walking?

Do you think a 13 year old girl would be too old for this? My DDs will be 10 and 13 on our next trip, and I'm hoping to surprise them with this tour. I know the 10 year old will love it, but the 13 year old might get embarrassed (although I'm game for hamming it up!) What's the silly stuff you have to do?

I called and asked this the other day and they said that I could most likely use a stoller. I am taking my 1yo dd on the tour because my 8yo sister is really wanting to do it again. She still remembers a lot of the details from the tour 2 years ago. I'm sure that you could push your stroller and the 3yo can ride in it when he gets tired. I would certainly plan a small break after the tour. We were pretty tired after the tour, though it was also in the high 80's that day.

The littler ones in our group had a great time and had more energy than most of the parents.

However, it was SOOO much fun. I would definitely go for it with your kids. The 6yo will love it and the 3yo should have a great time too.
