MK & Epcot Bridal Portraits - Time Change

Hi ~ I wasn't sure if anyone else has received this information yet for 2011 and thought I'd share a portion of an email I just got from my wedding planner:

Disney Photographic Services has just announced that their time slots for portrait sessions have changed for 2011 (hence the delay in responding back to you). Only (1) Session time is now offered per day, based on availability. Your session start time would now be 7:30 AM. I have the following itinerary booked for you.

Duo Bridal Portrait Session
7:30 AM Photographer will pick you up at the main entrance of your resort
7:45 AM - 8:45 AM Portrait Session at the Magic Kingdom
8:45 AM Travel to Epcot
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Portrait Session at Epcot

FYI: I was trying to book a session for the middle of September - this may only apply to brides later in the year.

Eek!! This doesn't affect signed contracts does it??

I wouldn't think it would affect signed contracts, but who knows? We were told the change is due to all the construction at the Magic Kingdom, which is mostly being done at night.

We are doing MK & AK on 1/26. We've not recieved this info as yet.... Given that we are now booking limousine transport to cape canaveral for the cruise to follow I hope we get told this soon if indeed it applies to us!

Hope this won't be a permanent thing into 2012, as much as im dreading that horrible early morning for the 6am slot I want those MK photos in the dark with the castle lit up.

I hear ya! We booked the 5am because we want as many pics as possible in the dark- the park looks so magical at night- I'm definitely not looking forward to that early morning! I'm not having my hair or makeup done so that may save some time, and DF starts work at 5:30am everyday, so he's used to it- but it still isn't going to be fun!

Woah, Woah WOAH! wait a minute! I have booked a 5am shoot June 2011! and I know Amy (Pixiedust1438) has booked the 6am shoot on that same day. What happens to all us brides who have already booked? I have received no such information from my planner...oh man, I'm gonna start panicking

If its already booked, I wouldn't worry. I was trying to book for September a few months later.

Heard back from my planner: photography will be contacting brides to let them know of the time change and reschedule as needed.
