MK EMM and Rope Drop

So our first day will be MK and we know it will be an EMM day. Our plan was to be there at rope drop and avoid fantasy land and try and hit Splash and Thunder Mountain because people would be rushing to 7DMT. My question is that if there is EMM would that be a bad idea because the EMM crowd would have done fantasy land at that point and then have made their way to Splash and Thunder Mountain cause those lines to be backed up at rope drop? I can't get a sense of what effect the EMM crowd has on rope drop. Thanks in advance for your help.

EMM guest count is very small relative to regular day guest attendance. In the hundreds, not thousands. Zero impact on crowds or lines at rope drop. If you hadn’t seen it on the schedule, very low likelihood you would even notice EMM had been going on that morning.

Plus the EMM guests in attendance all have different strategies at park opening and tend to scatter into the park. Some go hit a few rides, some go straight to the breakfast that is included. There’s no one set strategy that everyone follows so you’d never see the entire EMM crowd in one place.

We did EMM in Fantasyland and TSL on our last trip. On our Fantasyland day we headed over to Splash and BTMR right before the rope drop crowds, so we headed where you want to go. I would say 1/3 go there, 1/3 go to Tomorrowland, and 1/3 stay in Fantasyland to get in one last 7DMT ride. There are so few tickets sold, it won't even affect you.

I meant I left Fantasyland before 9am and HEADED towards Adventureland. I wasn't riding before 9am, sorry if it sounded that way!

I'm pretty sure we walked past Haunted Mansion and along the water and headed that way.
