MK-EMH on Christmas Night

If they close the gates to MK to guests on Christmas Day, what is the likelihood that it will re-open later that evening, say around 8pm so we can attend the EMH until 3am? we will be staying on-site.

We'll be at Sea Workd for the day, but my DD's really want to stay late at MK.

Past policy (and I am assuming it is still is policy) is that on-site guests always have access to the parks, even when they have closed the parks--really, they have closed the parking lots and tranportation from any off-site areas.

In any event, I sure wouldn't want to battle those crowds!!!! Yuck! Maybe you should consider a less crowded park for Christmas night? Evening EMHs are usually crowded under normal circumstances, add the fact that it is Christams night

Actually on-site guests are only guaranteed access to "A" park. It might not be "the" park of their choice. There is no guarantee that you can get into MK specifically even if you are staying on-site. If the park gets to a stage 4 closing (which it usually does on Christmas Day...very early in the morning) it is closed to everyone...even resort guests.

With that said...If they do actually have the EMH that night (which is scheduled but you never know...) you should be able to get in to it, the park usually drops back down under capacity in the later evening (as the kids head off to bed) so the EMH should be pretty busy, but not anywhere near capacity of the park.

Still, even if the park re-opened, I would avoid it on X-mas day. Did EMH evening in April and... wouldn't do it again, ESPECIALLY on Christmas Day!!!! It is sooo crowded!! Doesn't clear out until after midnight, so, it you want to get those 12:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. in...
