MK drop off/pick up area

My friend is picking us up from MK around 4pm and I'm not sure where to tell her to meet us. If I'm not mistaken there is an area by TTC, I remember seeing it on our way to the Poly for dinner, but does that mean she has to pay to get into the parking area to pick us up?

Have your friend tell the parking CM at the parking booths that she's picking up friends at the TTC - the CM should let her throughh without her having to pay any parking fees. Yes, there is a pick up area just before the entrance to the PR.

Yes, pick up at TTC. Your friend could drive the back way up past Port Orleans, turn left and go past Fort Wilderness, turn right, go up to the light at Wildeness Lodge where you turn left to go to the TTC pick up area.

There once was a security gate on the road going past Fort Wilderness but no more.

all of the MK area and resorts (GF, Poly, CR, and WL) are inside the MK toll booths. Without a parking pass, an AP or a resort or dining ressie, it will cost $.

My post above will work to avoid the MK toll booths. I was just there and I drove it.

It would be 10X easier, in my opinion to just have them pick you up at say, the Polynesian. Instead of taking the monorail over to TTC, take it to Poly. Your friend can say they are going to eat at the Polynesian, or even picking up friends at the Polynesian. TTC can be confusing. In contrast to the previous poster, you won't get charged if you don't have a parking pass/dining/etc. I've gone tons of times to Poly without a hotel/dining reservation and had no problems.
