We'll be in MK for only a total of 1.5 days. The first day we'd like to do CHH for lunch and either Cosmic Ray's (not really a fan) or Citricos for dinner. I would love to do Citricos, but two things concern me:

-transportation from MK to GF (I know I can take a monorail, but if I have to wait it will take precious time out of our day)
-COST, I'm okay with spending $15 + for seared tofu (cringe) but $30 + for some steak for my mom is unimaginable :lmao:

Is it possible for us to do this and not spend too much time away from the park and are there any choices/ways to eat cheaper? :thumbsup2

Thanks!!

You can take the monorail, but I think the easiest mode of transport is via the small ferry. There are boat launches in front of the MK which run back and forth from the MK-GF-Poly and back. The GF is the first stop on the mini ferry and it is much quicker than hopping on the monorail most of the time imho.

CHH for lunch is one of our favorite spots. Grab your food and head upstairs-it usually is a little quieter and less crowded.

Comparing Cosmic Rays to Citricos is like comparing apples to oranges. Cosmic Rays is a counter service sport, while Citricos is a signature dining restaurant. It is my favorite sig dining spot, but yes it is one of the more expensive venues as well.

If you would like a little break from the park consider Grand Floridian Cafe-still just a short boatride away. GFC's price point is below Citricos, but being a table service (sitdown) restaurant, it is priced above any or the counter service locales. I would also check the menus at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian or the Wave at the Contemporary-the Wave would just be a 10-12 walk from the MK. They are both similar in price range the the GFC and offer some very nice salad, appetizer and entree selections.

You could also stay put in the MK and try Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, The Plaza or Tony's as well.

Thanks!! May have to try The Wave, the menu sounds really good!!

No problem. I hope you have a wonderful trip;)
