We never ate at Crystal Palace, but we enjoyed Plaza Restaurant and the deserts on the desert picture thread looked so yummy!

There will be six adults along with my two girls (six and nine. who like Winnie and friends but are kind of outgrowing them)

Which would you choose and why? Thanks.

We actually like both of these restaurants. I think it just depends on the type of dining experience you prefer.

The Plaza-is fairly quiet (except when the mayor of "Main Street" and his "gals" come in), it is relaxing, food is pretty good, simple sandwiches, limited menu, ice cream is awesome!!

CP-much more lively, great character interaction, tons of food and a lot of variety!!

As far as food goes I have to lean towards CP a bit because I think they have one of the best buffets in WDW (that's all of WDW). Their food is fresh and tastey and TONS of choices. I love this because dd gets into her "tasting" mode it's a great place to taste lots of different things.

As of lately, we've been choosing CP over the Plaza. If we go to MK more than one day then we'll do the Plaza the second day. Quite frankly, you can easily do the Plaza for lunch and CP for dinner if you plan to stay at MK all day. I consider the Plaza as more of a lunch place unless you want a sandwich for dinner, so just a thought....either one you can't go wrong :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Crystal Palace, hands down. The place itself is beautiful. The food, considering it is a buffet, is, IMHO, better than the food at the Plaza. The characters are sweet no matter how old you are (and to tell the truth, most kids teetering on the brink of "too old for the characters" relish the opportunity to "be young again," if you know what I mean).

Crystal Palace definantly!!!!!

They have such a variety of foods that everyone can be happy!!!

Thanks for all the replies! I am keeping my CP ADR then. We are only going to MK one day this trip and we will have the dining plan. So it's kind of "one or the other" type decision. Tried Tony's once before and didn't care for it. The menu at Liberty Tree didn't appeal to my taste. So Crystal Palace it is then!

I just had dinner at CP last week and it was wonderful as usual - my most favorite buffet at WDW and one of my favorite restaurants. The food is excellent and there is a wide selection. They are wonderful with my son and his food needs (he is a type 1 diabetic and also has food allergies). The desserts are awesome. The desserts are the some of the best on property I think. The setting is great too. I wouldn't worry about the ages of the group - this place is well worth it just for the food. :thumbsup2
