We arrive on Sat. Sept. 27 for our next visit. We're torn about what to do. Kids are excited about seeing Magic Kingdom right away, so I booked Liberty Tree for dinner at 4:15 and planned on doing MK afterwards all night until 10 pm closing.
But now I'm thinking on a Saturday night...even though it's "off-season", that MK will be a madhouse. If we try our first ride after dinner at 5:15 or so, do you think we'll be greeted by enormous crowds and long lines? Now I'm thinking we shuffle things around and wait for Monday for MK first visit.
Thanks for the advice!!!

Most guide books say Monday is the worst day to visit MK to avoid crowds. In our visits at different time's of year I have found this to be true.So I would stay with your plan to tour on evenng of 27th or go on Sunday morning,I have found early Sunday morning is a great time to tour any of the parks. This is based on our experience of over 30 visits to WDW.:earsboy: :sunny:  :earsgirl:

Saturday is hands down the worst day for the MK, followed by Monday. Since most of the kids are in school, Saturday will be a day that families will go to the MK.

As long as you are prepared not to ride much, you should have no problem with the MK... go relax, see the shows and parades, eat you meal, but make sure to go back on a slower day to take in all of the other attractions.

If you are staying onsite, Extra Magic Hour at the MK is on Sunday and Thursday... go. If you aren't staying onsite, I would recommend going on either Tuesday or Wednesday... or if you are going to be there on Friday, that is always a good day.

Whatever you decide, have a great time!:)

I would avoid Saturday. We were there a month ago on Monday, and it wasn't bad at all in the morning. The evening was packed due to Spectro. I think Mondays were worse before they moved EE to Sunday.

We went Sunday morning last month..and it was wonderful! We didn't hit hardly any crowds til later in the day. If it's a family fave...I'd spend more time there..maybe before AND after dinner...
