Yes, that is the rumor going around work! I have heard lots of crazy rumors in the past but...... In this economy you don't know what to believe but I don't think I have heard one quite that out there!

This one is so far out there that there isnt even an ounce of logic behind it....I can say with 100% certainty that unless Disney ever goes Bankrupt they will not be closing any of their Parks.... Resorts, yes I can see some grain of possibilities in that, but not a whole park!:goodvibes

agreed, and EVEN if they did close a park, MK would most certainly be the last one closed(essentially meaning bankruptcy) No way would it close.

Now I do see the possibility that Disney will eventually outsource all CMs and have a third party run the parks while they collect license fees. But theres no way they will close MK. Those crazy bus drivers and their rumors....

Many of us have vacations already booked around that time^^; This rumor doesn't make sense.

Just had to share - knew you all would get a chuckle out of it like I did.

And where is it that you work, that someone would start such an outrageous rumor?

The Magic Kingdom is the most visited park in the U.S...i think. The only park I could see them closing is California Adventure in Anaheim, but even that's a real long shot.

People can't get dinner reservations or get rooms the time they want. Why would they close?

lol wow. Im pretty sure the Magic Kingdom will always be open. I agree that if they were trying to save money and stuff, they would just close down a resort instead of an entire park. No logic in that at all, where that is the actual money maker.

Yeah, Disney owns the top eight spots in the WORLD according to the Themed Entertainment Association (2007 numbers, the most recent released). The Magic Kingdom had 17.0 million visitors in 2007, up 2.5% from the previous year. Every Disney park had an increase from the previous year. The only oddball is California Adventure which is way down in thirteenth place and lost visitors from the year before.

Of course, the numbers will be different in 2008, but I wouldn't imagine by much.

I can't imagine they would ever close any of the parks in Florida.

I think they might be closing that, due to low visits or something like that. I saw it in the newspaper in 2007. But it said they might close it in, like, 2012.

They are pouring something like 2 billion dollars into that park. I doubt they'd close it after that, but they have been known to make dumb decisions before

They will close MK after Easter every night at 9:00 PM. Sometimes 10:00 PM
