MK close 8pm...monorail to EP by 9pm?

Scenario:

Last night, staying at Beach Club. We want to see Wishes (8pm) but thought instead of a bus back to BC we could monorail to EP and walk back to BC just to enjoy our last night and possibly catch part of Illuminations.

Will there be a problem with that? Can you enter the park at 8:30-8:45 when it closes at 9pm? (no EMH that night)

You can if have a park hopper pass. However, getting to the Epcot entrance by then may be tough. First you will have to get with the crowd to the monorail or ferryboat to the TTC. Then transfer to the Epcot monorail. If there is any wait for a monorail to arrive or delays during the ride, you may not make it.

Yes, we will have hoppers. I guess if we don't make it we will have to jump on a bus, but true that the masses leaving mk will really slow us down.
