MK Christmas tree will be late---from Mouseplanet.com

I did write to WDW to express my disappointment. I haven't heard back (of course, I did just write yesterday). Maybe if we all do it, they will reconsider? (It hasn't helped with the MNSSHP/MVMCP times, but who knows).

Well this really frosts my cookies!!
I originally wanted to go on our Christmas trip 12/10-17 but due to other family members who are tagging along, we pushed up to 11/26 to 12/3!!!!
Putting the tree up 3 weeks after they have started celebrating Christmas is nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why they just can't put it up in NOv. and then move it like they did before. I know the tree was up at the rose garden the first week of Nov. because we went Oct. 29th-Nov. 4th last year and I have a picture of my kids in front of the decorated tree. That really is not fair to those going to MK before Dec. 4th.

What is the address/e-mail for lodging a complaint/concern?

They seem to be chipping away at the Holiday festivities - overlapping the day hours with the party hours, no longer offering the holiday picture - and now they can't be bothered to move the Christmas from the Rose Garden to Town Square after the parade is taped (or move Regis and Kelly during the taping) - they certainly seem willing to add more and more party nights every year - it does seem 'wrong' to me that they will be running almost 3 weeks of parties without the Christmas tree - we LOVE the tree !!!
Was planning on taking DGrD to two MVMCPs this year - I'll be waiting before I buy my tickets to see what else might be 'missing'.

Last year I went to the MVMCP in late Nov..I believe it was Nov 30..it was just before the parade taping weekend..whenever the big MouseFest meet was. We watched the fireworks from the Rose Garden...that tree, while pretty, was all lit up and really did detract from the fireworks. Sure do wish they would just put the darn thing up at the start of Main St. and move Regis and Kelly. My word....let's disappoint thousands of people in order to keep Regis and Kelly happy for one day. Yeah, that makes a ton of sense. It may be time for new hosts....I certainly don't tune in so that I can see those two..in fact, truth be told, they kinda annoy me.

I totally agree with you!! On top of everything the prices for MVMCP went up from last year too. So it's like GREAT..I paid MORE to get LESS I already bought my tickets ... before all this nonsense. They really should disclose this stuff BEFORE the tickets go on sale. We were planning on MVMCP next year to but...not so much anymore!!

This news is dissaponting as we will be in WDW Thanksgiving week (as we have been many times before). Seeing that tree always put us in the season! I have sent a long e-mail to the above site.

I'm gathering that all the OTHER decorations will be up but not the tree. So no tree for our MVMCP!! This is really quite a bummer. Just put the tree up!! They are all about the "magic", let them magically move the tree!!
Of course I too think Regis and Kelly should be nixed from the parade. They need hosts who are more genuine!!

We were there last year during this time, I believe there are garland type decorations that span Main St from the rooftops - I am pretty sure those were removed because they blocked the view from the stage down main St to the castle...not 100% sure, but...... the mojority of decorations are up - it only involves those that effect the taping....

I agree it should go up as early as possible even if it means leaving it at the Rose Garden....I also agree that it is time to change the hosts!!!!


edit: just checked my photos and the garlands are up....so, my memory failed...and we did the party the night before the taping......they we fast at work on the stage area and they were testing the mics at other stage areas - in fact Cyndi Lauper stepped up and sang a couple Christmas songs at the area set up near the castle - I missed it , but heard about it later...

I just spent over $200.00 for the MVMCP for the 17th of November and I HOPE that all of the decorations will be there!!!!!!!!!!!

Last year we were there after Thanksgiving and had to watch the same parade (that I paid $200+ to see at the Christmas Party) about 10 different times because of the taping!!!!!!! We were very disappointed about this because we thought it was a "special" thing we had to pay extra for but all it did was block our ways to and from with the taping happening ALL DAY LONG!!!

Bad news I'm planning my first WDW Christmas trip and we'll be there 12/1 - 12/5!! We wont be going to the parks on the 5th so chances are we wont get to the see the tree!! This really stinks.

I'll be there the same dates and I wanted to see the tree!! What's a MVMCP without a Christmas tree!!?????

When it was in the rose garden, does it block the view of the Castle from the swan boat dock? If so, I'm not upset that the tree will not be there, it is my favorite spot to take photos. so there is a bright side to all.

Thanks for posting that info DisneyGirl4188! I truely hope it is just a rumor.
I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. Which really stinks for me because I'm a "I want to know NOW" kind of person
