My hubby and youngest son would love to get a haircut at the barbershop on MK's Main Street. Please give me all information you have (best time, cost, how to make reservations, etc.). I'd also like any tips on how to coordinate the time(s) of the haircuts so we're likely to see the Dapper Dans barbershop quarter during the haircut(s).

Also info welcome.

Thanks, you guys are super.

Try a search on Deb's site wdwig. From what I have read I think it's walk in only and the times vary-probably have to check the guidemap or guest services when you get there.

We always get our hair cut at MK. I seem to remember that it was around $15 last year (could be wrong), we've never made reservations, we've just turned up and waited. Great experience, especially for my son (3yrs). Last year we were in as the afternoon parade went past. Came out for the second half and both kids ended up being chosen to take part (little dance with a few face characters), it was very memorable.

I don't think you can make a reservation; strictly walk-in. However, on the occasions when we have done this, it was never a long wait.

As far as the Dapper Dans, if you stop in at city hall, they can give you an idea as to where they will be at what times. As I understand it, they have scheduled appearances on Main Street, on the trolley, etc., and when they are not at those locations, they are likely to be in the barbershop.

I believe the hours of the Barbershop are 9-5, and there are no appointments, walk-ins only. The cost is $15 per adult and $12 per child. Unless you get there exactly at opening, you'll most likely find a wait. We got there at 9:05 one morning and there were already 3 people in front of us, not counting the two people already getting their hair cut!!

Even if you don't see the Dapper Dans, it is worthwhile. DS had a haircut there, and had a ball! GREAT pictures -- particularly when they sprinkled him with fairy dust, then encouraged him to help start a water fight!

We waited about 30 minutes in December for DS10 to get his hair cut--But, it was well worth it!! It was so fun.

He got red gel and "pixie dust" in his hair. It was all spikey and looked really cool.

When we took a pic with Mary Poppins and Bert later in the day--Bert asked if Tinker Bell had sneezed in DS's hair
:p

Thanks for all of the great info. You guys know everything. More replies would be most welcome and appreciated.

Don't forget to get the neon colored hair gel at the end of the hair-cut before the pixie dust!! They have glow-in-the -dark hair gel too! It shows up great on the black-lit rides. My DH (36) got some in his hair--everyone commented very positively on it all day---What fun!!! It's great for the kids!!

My DH (48) got his hair cut there in Dec. We went in the afternoon and there were 2 people in the chairs and two waiting.
He had such a great time! I think it will be something he does every trip now!
He had great fun talking to and joking around with his barber.
He got blue gel and pixie dust........get photo op!

And then of course, one 'Disney' shot to amuse my kids:

It's something I do every year, I let my hair grow long so I can get it cut there.
