I have a reservation for the barber shop at 9:00 for the two toddlers in our group and I was wondering what time we should be at the gate? Or what time will they let us in the gate? The cast member said come early but I didn't think to ask. We have never had a reservation that early before. Also, they will let our whole group in, right? There are 10 of us including the little two.

1. At least 8:30AM.
2. Depending on who is staffing the MK gates that day, you might get to go in when you arrive.
It is also possible that, because they actually open the gates to everyone about 8:45-ish, you might just be part of the rest of the rope drop crowd.**
3. If you mean the phone CM, that person would likely not know that kind of info.
4. Quite possible.
5. That is a lot of folks, so, you never know.

**These kind of things are dependent on just who's running the gates at that day and time.

We were interested in having hair cuts while were at the MK for my ds and my dd's bf. How do you go about making reservations?
TIA
Amy

We're signed up for one first cut and two dos. You just call into the regular reservation line and they'll make your appointment.

Thanks! We will plan to be at the gate at 8:30 and just see what they say.

I called the reservation line and had a few options for our trip 11 weeks away. I did have to listen to "It's a Small World" for 18 mins though :headache:. I felt like they were trying to break my will so I would hang up, lol.

Something else to consider is that if you will just WAIT along with everyone else there at that time, you will be able to see the "MK Welcome Show" which is considered by many to be a highlight of entering MK in the early mornings.

The show will begin about 8:40 and when it ends (about 8:45-ish) all guests can enter MK at that time.

Since the Harmony Barbershop is about 30 steps from the RR Station, you will still beat your 9AM reservation by about 10+ minutes.

That's too funny!
I agree that might have been on purpose - "magical" will breaking techniques!

When we had a opening appointment, we didn't get to go in early. It was unnecessary though. With RD happening before 9, there was plenty of time to take the long mosey to the barber shop and still wait a few minutes before our name was called.

If I am planning on going in late April, do you think I should make a reservation now for my son's first haircut?

We had 9am reservations and were not let in early. We went in once they let everyone else and it was plenty of time. The barber shop doesn't open til 9 and since they let everyone into the park a few minutes early we had to wait for it to open anyway.

We just made a reservation for my nieces 1st haircut at Harmony Barbershop, for our Sept trip. We got the 9am appointment. The lady on the phone when booking, said to arrive 15 minutes early. They always let everyone in around that time for a 9am park opening anyway, so I am assuming we will just go in with everyone else.

Just wanted to say that we just had my grandson's first haircut at the barbershop and it was the best bargain at Disney and so cute. The barbers know just how to handle the little ones....stickers everywhere :). When they are done, the first haircut package includes little Micky ears that say "first haircut", a certificate saying they got their first haircut at the Magic Kingdom, and a little net souvenir bag with clippings in it. It was great!

Stupid question...but do you tip the stylist/barber? Are they even allowed to accept tips?

Thanks!
