MK 12/23 & DHS 12/25..?

We are taking 2 mornings off on our Christmas trip. We're hitting MK for 2-3 hours 3 mornings so we're going to need a break. I'm concerned about getting into the parks, especially 12/25.

Will we have problems getting into MK early afternoon on 12/23 or DHS early afternoon on 12/25. We are onsite & have CRT dinner on the 23rd & H&V dinner on the 25th.

It is my understanding that as long as you have a reservation, you should be fine. They close in phases, with those staying onsite and/or with in park reservations being the LAST to be denied admission. I wouldn't sweat it one bit. The mouse wants you in that park spending money!

Actually, it's only those who are staying onsite that are the last ones to be denied admission. But in another thread someone posted a link to a article in Touring Plans that said that the last time any of the parks had a 4th phase closure (which is where no one is let in) was at MK on April 7, 2009, so I would agree that it's not anything that the OP should worry about.

We went into MK the evening of Dec 23 last year and had no problems getting in, and it wasn't that crowded compared to later in the week.

I would be more concerned with HS because of the Osborne lights ending this year...I'd want to be in the park well before 5 pm.

Yes this is my concern exactly. My DH is golfing Christmas morning, & I'm wondering if we should head over before lunch or if we could get in between 1 & 2pm.

You have a reservation and are staying onsite. So only if they have a full closure would they refuse you. I think you should be safe. As we discussed months ago, we are doing Minnies Holiday dine and the dessert party Dec 24th. I am very concerned about our BoG on Dec 25th, but it was only one I could get, so going to haul everyone up and out early and get to MK.

I switched the tee time to the 23rd instead. I'm probably being paranoid, but I spent half of my summer vacation waking up at 6:00 stalking Minnie's & the thought of missing it makes me feel a little ill. Yup, I need an ADR support group .

We are taking the morning of the 23rd off too, especially if we do AM EMH the day before at MK. We're onsite and have reservations at CP, so I'm hoping we won't have a problem getting in before the afternoon parade. If they do refuse you entrance at the gate, will they still charge you a no-show fee?

I think so, but again, those staying onsite can get in up to a stage 4 closure, which hasn't happened since April 7, 2009.
