Mixology Class - Tell Me More!

Sorry, I just saw this today! No we didn't sign up through DCL. On our social media group one person took all of our room numbers and names and set up several smaller groups. So it was sort of through DCL, just via one person. Does that make sense? Payment was through DCL, hence the need for our room numbers.

It kinda makes sense. That person just called DCL and signed up via phone, for everyone? But you all could have done it through the website, like a regular excursion, right?

The private social media cruise groups often like to reserve a special mixology class just for the group. Someone has to call or email a particular person at DCL who handles these group events to get it organized. I think the advantage is that it's nice to be able to have a group activity (since usually people are chatting in the group well before the actual cruise) and then no one needs to book Mixology (which can sell out fast) in their Onboard activities. The disadvantage from what I understand is that recently, Mixology private group bookings have only been permitted to occur on port days. Mixology as a regular onboard activity may be on sea days.

This exactly. I can't remember if it was a port or sea day but I'm sure the above comment is correct since we haven't been since 2016. I'm hoping they decide to do mixology on our October 2019 cruise!
