Mixing Points with Cash?

Does anyone know if you can mix a stay with cash and points? I'm assuming if you wanted to spend 4 days, you could book 2 nights with points and 2 with cash, but what if you had enough points for 3 days but fell short of 4. Can you apply your remaining points to the 4th day and pay the rest in cash? I'm assuming each night must be paid with all points or all cash. If we need more for the 4th night, we would have to rent or borrow for our 07 points. Thanks, all!

You can mix a stay with points and cash, but you cannot mix a single day with points and cash. Each day must be paid with either all points or all cash.

I agree, potentially you can mix points nights with cash nights. If all through MS you may or may not get a member discount but you can link the nights and it will be treated as a single stay for purposes of check in and DDP assuming they are the same exact unit type. For CRO, this is not the case and you may have to move rooms but almost certainly will have to check in again on any change over days.
