My daughter who will be 13 months was put back on formula by her doctor. Since I knew our trip was coming up I stopped her bottles (Dr Brown's too many parts) and she drinks only out of a sippy cup. Well now since I have to give her formula instead of milk any ideas how I can mix it in the park? Her sippy cups don't have any marks on them that show ounces plus they would leak all over when I would shake to mix. The formula is Carnation Good Starts Soy Toddler formula and I have not seen it in ready made only powder. Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

Buy a bottle of water pour out a little and add the formula and shake then pour it into her cup. Simple!

I'm sure she is on other food also so it doesn't have to be as exact as when they are infants.

measure how much her sippy cups hold at home so you know how much water/formula to use. or mark the outside of the cups with a sharpie after you pour in a specific amt so you can eye them up at the parks. I agree wth the PP, if she is eating table foods and even taking vitamins, it isn't as crucial to be exact... I use the playtex sippy cups with the valve that prevents spilling, (but the valves are tough to clean if you don't rinse them right away.) as long as the lid is on tight, they don't leak. but you could take one bottle with you just for mixing purposes, and then transfer to the cup... this might be better for airport security too, I have seen them confiscate sippy cups full of liquid, and will not allow you to carry bottles of water (they made me mix my formula up and discard the rest of the water) but they will allow baby's bottles!!!

They have these bottles in varying sizes for protein drinks to be mixed in in the store. Maybe that would work? can you premix some in the morning in the convience of your room and have it a leak proof bottle to refill her cup? They have those soft sided small coolers that can easily hang off a stroller - they have them to fit two bottles so should fit two water bottles filled with premixed formula just fine. Good luck!

I like the idea of marking the outside of her sippys with a sharpie. If you put your finger over the sippy holes, you should be able to shake with out too much mess.
The other idea i had was to go take a look in the Rubbermaid section of your local Target/Walmart/etc. You should be able to find an appriate sized plastic liquid container with fitted lid, pour spout/hole and marked sides for measureing ounces.

We brought ziploc bags with us and measured the powder into 3 or 4 back in our room. I bought a cheap baby bottle at the dollar store and when we had to mix it I measured water in bottle, added powder, threw away the bag and shook it up. Then we poured it into DS special cup, rinsed out the bottle and we were good to go. I did this at the baby changing stations. Make sure to bring a sponge and some liquid soap for your hotel room to wash out the cups good at night.

this is what I was going to suggest.

I used my left over collection Medela collection containers (the small ones)and the little zip lock collection bags(from my breast pump) I had when I switched to formula and had to be on the go... but ziplock makes snack sized baggies that are half the size of the sandwich bags, they'd be perfect too!

I actually have the Sassy container that you can pre measure formula in so I was going to take that since I have it.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! When I panic I can't think clearly!
