Mixed Nuts

I would like to thank all of you for your kind posts today. You're all so very sweet

Here is a quick update on my day.

My father later stopped in to give me a gift - he bought me a bottle of wine and some chocolates and a scratch ticket. I was really touched because it was always my mother who did the shopping for birthdays and occassions. Then I read his card and it was a sappy one about a special daughter and I hard such a hard time holding back the tears. I try very hard to be strong in front of him because I know how hard my mother's death has been for him.

After he left, I curled up in bed for a nap because ... well...I didn't get much sleep since I was out DISing all night with you guys

Then my neighbour stopped over with a gift for me. She's such a kind and caring woman (about 10 years older than me) and treats me like a daughter. She's been a godsend since my mom passed away. She bought me a fleece sheet bedding set ~ cause it is so darn freaking cold here and was always telling me to get a set and I'm too cheap to go out and buy them.

Anyhow, then DH came home and now he and my two daughters have left to go pick up my cake and the Chinese food. We decided to eat in rather than go out.

All in all it's been a great day and I'm truly thankful for my family, friends and my DIS friends

Thanks Lisa. Once DH and the kids got home my day went much better.

They are all sleeping is where they are

Can't do two nights in a row. Actually I'm pretty tired myself even with the short nap I had today.
